Holmes Place are now quite a large health/fitness club chain and I have been a member at the Cricklewood branch now for 6 months.
Most of all the club is very clean and tidy and all the equipment is well maintained, it has two swimming pools, a large spa pool, three Gyms and a aerobics room, plus both male and female saunas, steam rooms and sun bed sections.
There is a Creche for Children, a cafe, a hairdressers/beauty salon and a nice comfy airy sitting place, the changing rooms are roomy with excellent showers.
So that is the upside, what does it cost. Well, £50 - £200 to join depending on whether there are any offers and £50 -£70 per month again dependent on offers. That is quite pricey so is it worth it. Well it costs about £3 - £4 for a swim in a dirty pool in London, so you do the Maths I use the facilities 4 times a week so I get great value. There are also lots of good classes aimed at all levels of fitness.
This is a good club, slightly procey but you get what you pay for.

Advantages: Open till late, nice pool (when it is not busy) Disadvantages: getting v busy, lazy lifeguards, you have to been drowning before they do anything, getting crowded and un-kept
