These boots are made for travelling...
Review of Rhino Travel boots by hossylass

Advantages: Strong and well made
Disadvantages: Similar boots are cheaper

Rhino have again produced a very high quality item. These boots are firm enough to be self supporting, yet flexible enough to mould and bend with the horses legs. They also passed my own 'kick' test. (I.e. put the over your own leg and give yourself a sharp kick in the achilles, ankle and shin.) They are well made and robust, mine are still giving excellent service despite being used several times a week for two years. Not actually sure if they will ... Read review

A good day at the races
Review of Newmarket Racecourse, Suffolk, England by acesangel

Advantages: enetertainment, price
Disadvantages: viewing is not brilliant

Newmarket is the only place within the UK to have two racecourse, the July Course and the Rowley Mile. Newmarket is famous for its racing community and it houses many famous horse racing attractions such as the National Stud, the Horseracing Museum and the British Racing School. Racing in Newmarket takes place throughout the summer months and races are run on grass over flat courses with no jumps. The Rowley Mile operates race days in the spring ...
...the Autumn. Horse Racing in Newmarket is often an international affair and it is usually possible to meet see many top faces in the sport. Both courses offer racecourse tours and can give guests a behind the scenes view of the race track. Many competitions such as best dressed lady and gentleman and offers are available at big meetings. A DAY AT THE RACES
Review of Newmarket Racecourse, Suffolk, England by poshtroika

Advantages: Good fun as a group.
Disadvantages: Could be boring on Cold wet day with all loosers.

...to the July Meeting at Newmarket racecourse. So when they invited me to join I agreed, not that I know anything about horse racing. The Day begins at about 09:00 at the Pub where mine Hosts Pauline and Eamon open their doors early. The Bus is booked for 10:30, apparently the same firm they used last year, when it broke down, but the Pub near the Breakdown at Godmenchester impressed them so much that they have booked a buffet lunch stop there this ...
...the Bus and onwards to Newmarket race Course, arrive about 30 mins later, you do not have to go thru the Town so arrive at course with no bother. Large carparks (on fields) could be dodgy if wet, but dry sunny and windy today. Many Buses have set up Pick-nic tables with amazing spreads, someone has gone to a lot of trouble. We agreed that if weather could be guarnteed we might think about doing that ourselves. Entry to Course is quick and easy, ... Read review

Dartmoor Rosettes
Review of Dartmoor Rosettes by Ariel

Advantages: Excelent prompt service, good value and quality. Take small orgainzersseriously
Disadvantages: I have not had reason to use them for some time, and things may change

...very large minimum order requirements. Dartmoor however was prompt, helpful, and happy to acknowledge that small shows and amateur organisers can take their Big Day as seriously as any major event! When I first started out organising I was still in school, and on a tight budget, so my first orders were small (1st - 4th in say 8 classes, plus a 'runners up class' and BIS) with standard off the peg rosettes. I remember this being very affordable, ...
...of the rosettes was pretty good as well, not skimping on the ribbons or the tails, and backs strong enough to actually let you use the ties. (I have found that to be a problem with cheapies elsewhere) Towards the end of my organising I was making more extensive, although still relatively small scale orders - centre printed from my own logo, in silver, not gold, multilayer, tail blocking etc. I even had one made up as a treat to myself to commemorate ...
