Advantages: Lightweight, easy to tow, retain value, smart.
Disadvantages: No handle on inside of jocky door.

It may cost more from dealers but at the time it was the best option for me as I didn`t really know what I needed to check from a safety angle. ...easy to sell on. Ifor Williams sells several different trailers but my choice was between the 505 and the 510, the dealer had one of each. My horses are 15.2hh and 16.2hh (when I bought the trailer he was 16.1hh). The 505 takes 2 horses up to 16.2hh and the 510 takes two over 16.2hh. The dealer advised me that the 505 would be suitable. After taking 2 friends with me and agreeing a deal that delivery would be included in the price, I made the purchase.

Advantages: turn up in style!
Disadvantages: check it's been made properly!!!
We bought a brand new Ifor Williams Hunter trailer to carry my two large competition horses and thought i had made a really good investment! My 17.2 fitted in lovelly and it towed to its first competition a dream.
When we got there, it turned out to be a nighmare!
On parking up and jumping in through the jockey door, I was horrified to be greeted by a stream of blood running like a river to the front of the trailer and see my young mare standing ...

We phoned Ifor Williams and the trailer was returned to the dealership where they informed me that the centre partition had been hung upside down when it was made, hence it had dropped off of the pegs and hurt my mare. When I asked how this could have been done AND passed quality control/safety checking I was told that it was "just one of those things" as the chap shrugged at me.
