My partner and I visited for 5 days and the most amazing time. The hosts, Carole and Roberto were wonderful - making us feel very welcome and comfortable and taking us out, showing us the town and generally ensurin we had a good holiday.

The horse riding was spectacular - they obviously care a lot about their horses and this was shown in the way the horses responded to them. We were taught the basics in the school their and then were taken out into the desert. This was an incredible experience, being on horse back through the amazing surroundings!! We were relative beginers, with very little experience and were very quickly made to feel comfortable with the horses.

All in all it was a wonderful experience, the horses, the place, the hosts, the numerous games of uno and dominoes - we both thoroughly enjoyed our visit nad will definately be returning as soon as possible!!

JUST TO ADD there are a range of times you can do depending on experience, from half hour in the school to two hour treks. For more info check out the website desertridersspain.com.

we stayed for 5 nights- the price included breakfast every morning but dinner was an additional charge.for prices once again see the website - I was treated as a birthday gift so Im not sure of costs!!

The place is near a small spanish town called Tabernas which is a beautiful desert region and is surrounded by the Sierra Nevada mountain range(i believe)Very beautiful. It is probably about a half hour drive from Almeria airport- a car would be recommended.

hope this helps and def visit the website for more info.

Good review but could do with some more info to gain higher ratings. Take a look at other reviews to get an idea of the level of info that is needed to gain higher ratings. x

I would love to know more about this - what was the accommodation like, what are the meals like, are they included in the cost? Where is it located? Think about adding those things that will get you higher ratings and really help your review. Fiona

I think this would benefit from a lot more information about the holiday. it sounds wonderful, but where is it, how long do you stay, how long do you ride for each day, what's the cost, how do you get there etc etc. I like the fact that you have very clearly and passionately stated your opinion though - that is one of the most important parts of a review to me. If you do decide to edit please let me know and I will come back and re-read and re-rate. anna
