Little did I realise what a chance search for 'Riding' and 'Spain' would bring up on eBay. I wasn't disappointed! A love of horses, a wish to get away, get some sun, see Spain and its culture and be with great likeminded company would seem a tall order but Villa Roxmar fulfilled all my wishes and more. Within a day I would be away from it all, riding in the footsteps of Clint Eastwood, and living and breathing Spanish horses!
Whether taking a relaxing ride and a day out in the car sightseeing or just spending time around the yard, Villa Roxmar has it all! Within walking distance of the wonderfully Spanish and quaint Tabernas,- great for extremely cheap and delicious 'tapas' lunches - and in the desert to provide great riding, Villa Roxmar is ideally positioned. A warm welcome for Rob and Carol await along with beautifully clean and high quality accommodation. A range of horses and the totally loveable mule 'Mula' (you will want to take him home with you!) are at your disposal with expert tuition from Carol - what she doesn't know about horses isn't worth knowing! - and rides out into the beautiful desert scenery. Meals are outstanding and you will have to resist the temptation to chat about horses long into the night! You will come wanting to ride an hour a day, end up doing much more and not wanting to leave! I came for a week and stayed for three! An experience not to be missed!
