Advantages: Small, comfy, brilliant. Disadvantages: Not as good as a full size pillow.
..., but the comfort I felt that night, made me wish I had gone for this option years ago. Thanks my friend, it must be fate!
It is very quick to blow up as well as deflate, and very comfortable, I slip a pillowcase over it and the difference is amazing. I could take a real pillow with me, but I am more than happy to have this second best option, I love my little headrest.

...Ultralite Therm-a-rest
Quite possibly the lightest and most compact self-inflatingmattress in the world. Made with nonslip Staytek fabric on the sleeping surface, with damp and dirt resistant durable nylon on the underside. OK well theres the sales pitch, so on with the review....
The full length ultralite gives a warm and comfortable nights sleep when used in conjunction with a good sleeping bag. Many people advocate using the 3/4 length and substituting the shorter length with clothing or other softish materials. However I don't usually carry enough clothes to do that. This may be an option if you are 6 feet tall or less, but for anyone over that, I'd suggest the full length version.
The anti-slip treatment works very well and will keep all but the most restless insomniac in place. The firmness of the mat can be adjusted...

Advantages: Very comfortable, easy to inflate Disadvantages: Bit large for little old ladies, bit smelly when new
...did!! The argument went on a bit longer as me and my brother argued over who would have to share a bed with nan - he lost and I got to sleep with mum!
The following day dad said his back and shoulders hurt him so bad that he was going to buy a campingmattress to sleep on as he couldn't stand another six nights of torture on the floor(he does exaggerate). That morning we all traipsed out in the car again for another hour, to find a camping shop. It wasn't very big and there wasn't great deal to choose from in the way of mattresses, but we found one we liked the look of, and the picture on the box made it look like it would be very comfortable once it was inflated.
The particular one we bought was a Coleman raised quick bed large single mattress. It was reduced from £42.99 to £34.99 but dad needed to buy a pump to get it to inflate...
