...Rhinegold are a name that I have come accross in the horse world. They sell various items that appear to be good value as they are a reasonable price. I have seen synthetic saddles, rugs and riding wear also, among them being half chaps. Firstly, what are Half Chaps? * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Half chaps are to be worn over jodphur boots, that is short leather boots designed for riding. The boots only come up to the ankle, so chaps start just below that and extend up the calf to below the knee. Half chaps come in varying styles and materials depending on the discipline that you are following or whether you want them for everyday riding. ...This review is slightly different in that the section which describes how this item feels to wear and use is reliant on the experience of my 10 year old son. For me to try the item on would require a slimmer of the year performance, a Tom Hanks “Big” style transformation and my developing the ability to ride. Not going to happen. The progression of my son into a jumping class prompted a mad scramble to purchase some protective gear and of the three brands tried on in the shop the Junior body protector made by Just Togs was the best fit and seemed to offer the best protection. The Just Togs body protector is a lightweight although slightly bulky garment. It is made up of three sections, a back section and two front chest protectors. Advantages: Smart, Leather seeted Breeches for in the saddle elegance
Disadvantages: none really, white does get filthy tho!

...I got these when other pair of show breeches gave up the ghost, and I couldn't be bothered to repair them anymore! Just Toggs Grand Prix breeches are fantastic. They have a Clarino leather full seat, and are fully machine washable! Hurrah! AND they were not too pricey! RRP £60. Last Christmas mine were approximately £57.99, so look around and find the best price! I've got a few Just Toggs items and there products are pretty good, middle of the road price ranges. They are 80% cotton, 12% spandex and 8% lycra. (The bits without the leather on that is). They come in 5 different colours, White- the ones I have, fawn- the ones in the product picture, Cranberry, Blue and Black. I'm not certain if they have discontinued the Cranberry, but I couldn't find them last time I checked! What attracted me to them was a multifactoral choice... Read review
