KMC Missing Link For 8 and 9 speed chains Features: Replacement joining link for KMC chains Pair of missing link chain connectors for 8 and 9 speed chains
Advantages: Cheap, shifts well, excellent joining link Disadvantages: Can suffer chain breakages
...A chain is just a chain?
Not entirely. Modern derailleur chains employ a construction known as bushingless, developed originally by Sachs-Sedis. If you split the narrow link, you can see for yourself what a bushingless chain looks like.
Bushingless chains have one major advantage over a bushed chain. The bushingless design is better at allowing lube to get to the centre of the chain, and the lube moves from the centre to the outside carrying dirt and grit with it. Consequently bushingless chains last a lot longer. There is also the adavantage that bushingless chains are more flexible facilitating gear changes.
If you take them apart all chains are made in a similar fashion. They only differ in the quality of the materials used, the shape of the side-plates, and manufacturing tolerances.

...off after use.
On the whole, I would recommend the curious giving this device a try - it is so much cheaper than any other make. But don’t have any great expectations! And you never know I could be entering Miss Universe in about 6004! Ha!...

This BMX, I believe was originally sold for £199, however I bought it off ebay for £99 and it was barely used and a great bargin.
I have not changed any of my spec on this bike, as soon I intend to sell it so I can build my own flantland bike.
So you know how this bike runs, you have to understand that I am short, very short, and 7 stone in weight, so of course I find this BMX very heavy, but overall, it is a heavy bike anyway and can be quite hard to push to get the speed for jumps etc.
