Advantages: excellent photos, can pick it up cheap Disadvantages: battery lifespan
...on eBay, and found a Kodak Easyshare camera. I remembered the name from the adverts, and knew that it was possible to get a dock for it. More to the point, it was still in the box, hadn’t been used very often, and was only £100. I checked on other websites, and people were charging about £140 on average for the camera (without the port), and once I checked the camera had a port with it, I snapped it up.
Once it arrived, it realised it had all the ... ...hadn’t even considered. I’ll now go through the features, as well as ease of installation and use, and quality of pictures, point by point.
CAMERA FEATURES
1. 3.1 megapixels – again, I have no idea what this means, but it was above the 3 megapixels my Dad recommended.
2. LCD screen – nice neat clear screen
3. 3 flash modes – automatic, fill-in, red-eye reduction (and off of course)
4. Two times optical zoom – took a while to find it, but you ...

Advantages: Point and click Disadvantages: Variable battery life / poor software
...mention a step on the Kodak website tut tut...), but the newest update at time of writing v1.110 is supposed to sort out a lot of the battery consumption issues - but not in my experience.
The software has also been updated, and completely buggered the camera software when I updated it. It took several hours using a registry cleaner to be able to reinstall the original version that came with the camera, although other people have reported the reverse ... ...good.
Now if only Kodak weren`t such lousy cheapskates and included a PROPER PRINTED MANUAL rather than a PDF file on a CD....
To sum up, it`s a basic point and shoot, no outstanding features, and some surprising ommissions - there`s no 10 second timer to let you get in on a shot ! The dock works well if it`s part of the package, but if it`s not, carry on looking elsewhere. The lack of features make it hard to recommend at any price above around ...

Advantages: Very easy to use camera Disadvantages: Not many features for the price, battery life is a bit uncertain
...with around the house. When Kodak messed up on the pricing and I ended up getting one of these cameras, a docking station, batteries and some photo paper for £100, it seemed like the answer to my prayers. The RRP of this camera, plus all the bits, is something like £329.
I’m afraid I have to agree with some of what has been said about this camera on Ciao already, basically that if you pay the full retail price you are probably wasting your money. ... ...special offer £100 deals when Kodak messed up the pricing on their internet site a few months ago, there’s a load floating around on Ebay right now, some, which were bought for re-sale, have never been used. Some have been used briefly by owners who liked the sound of the £100 offer but were really looking for a more sophisticated camera. So you could be lucky and secure yourself a great deal. And if you’re an auction seller like me, or just want ...

Advantages: high quality photos with a choice of resolution for extra storage Disadvantages: battery life not always predictable after recharge
Ive had this Kodak 3.1 megapixel digital camera since it was first released onto the market
I bought it complete with the dock , accessory kit and a memory expansion card.
The accessory kit includes a mains charger to be used if you are going away and dont want to take the dock with you , a selection of foriegn plug adaptors , a carry case and a spare rechargable battery.
Now ... Im a complete techno-noddy , and thought I would end up never using ... ...down to me , not Kodak !
However , there is a spare battery in the accessory kit , and it is worth keeping this one charged and ready as a back-up.
Im always recommending this camera to people , and will do the same to you .... and from what Ive been told , all of the Kodak models both new and older are as good as each other
The other benefit with the digital format is the cost effectiveness . No more paying to have endless rolls of film developed ...

Advantages: Transfering to pc is easy as pie Disadvantages: Battery life makes it unusable most of the time
I bought this camera to be able to take pictures of my daughter at home, at parties etc. It's a point and shoot camera theoratically ideal for just such use. When it takes pictures I have been pleased and it is very easy to transfer pictures to the pc. However none of this matters much if after 2 or 3 shots the battery dies. which it frequently does.
The software is basic but I use another programme for cropping and enhancing.
The album pages have ... ...purposes which I've found useful for child related activities.
I now find myself jealous of friends with digital camera's they can take out with them as this only gets used at home where it can quickly recharge. An expensive camera for this purpose and so I'm going to have to buy something else which is ridiculous given this was not cheap. So save yourself and buy a different camera. ...

An sxcellent and very compact bit of kit, the only drawback I have encountered is the design of the outer casing which lacks an easy and natural grip possition making the camera less comfortable in the hand than others I have used.
