I must admit that usually I'm sceptical about buying big name brands. For example Sony and Dell, they both have vast orders to fill and prices to meet and in my opinion and experience they can only do that by cutting the quality of their products.
So, I was quite amazed when I got to grips with my brand new Kodak DX4330 and found it to be actually pretty good.

This opens up to reveal a well-designed folder that contains all the drivers, software, guarantee information and the help manual in an array of languages. When this is taken out the camera is revealed and along side is a nice box containing all of the electrical extras (USB cable and the likes)

Hey i like it! Review ofKodak EASYSHARE DX4330by
ross88guy
Advantages: Reliable, good functions, Good for a first time buyer Disadvantages: External lens cap, Bit on the large size.
The Kodak Easy Share Dx4330 was the first digital camera I bought. It was 3years ago and was £200 at the time. It still remains my favourite to this day.
As affordable digital cameras were relatively scarce at the time I was worried that I would be buying essentially rubbish, however the camera exceeded my expectations in every way.
The appearance is pleasing to the eye and the camera has a solid feel to it with no delicate extrusions to get knocked ... ...the heavy side, and while not anything as heavy as a SLR camera it comes quite close. however this is only a problem with someone who was incredibly weak and doesn't have an impact on the cameras performance so is negligible.
However a "larger" problem is the size (excuse the pun) the dimensions may make the camera easier to hold and work with, finding a place to put the dam thing when you are not using it is another matter. I have often found that ...

...but one of them, the Kodak DX4330 offered 3.1 megapixels and a neat 10X zooming facility, so I was quickly sold on the nice shiny little thing. It cost about £228 which felt to be pretty good value, so I didn't hesitate for long.
(BTW, I know this cat's for the DX4230, but I got this higher class version - sorry)
The blurb said that a docking bay wasn't included and I asked the sales guy if you needed one. He said no and that it cost £54, so I ... ...amazing.
You get some Kodak software with your camera, but it's no great shakes and wouldn't hold a candle to any decent graphics package, and I've got plenty, so that wasn't really a problem for me. The full operating manual is only available via the Adobe document which you have to load up, but really you don't need to bother too much with that, because this camera is a joy to use, very instinctive and easy to grasp. I'll give you a clue, switch ...

Advantages: Easy to use, even for a technophobe! Disadvantages: Probably best for the 'everyday' photographer
...has now been discontinued by Kodak but should be relatively easy to buy second-hand.
Now the technical bit, most of which has been supplied by my husband who downloads all the pictures. The videos have sound, which is fantastic and not a feature of all digital cameras, but they are AVI files which can only be played with Apple Quicktime. If they could be saved as mpeg files, they could be played with any software package. mpegs are also smaller ... ...of the camera.
The Kodak album software, which allows simple editing of the pictures and collects/stores all of the photographs, is excellent. It is very simple to use and you are not restricted to storing only pictures from the camera. A downside is that it lacks an easy way of saving the pictures in a format that's suitable to e-mail: you can't save the images as files to do this.
A docking port is another extra, costing around £65. This allows ...

An sxcellent and very compact bit of kit, the only drawback I have encountered is the design of the outer casing which lacks an easy and natural grip possition making the camera less comfortable in the hand than others I have used.
