Advantages: Spacious, good BHP Disadvantages: cheaper looking interior than most cars
I bought a second hand 51 Reg focus just over a year ago for just over 3500 and I believe it was money well spent. My focus is a 2 door hatchback and for that style of car is extreamely spacious in the cabin and especially the boot which is ideal for the missus shopping trips and my cricket bag. The 1.6 zetec I have is very quick compared to other 1.6 engines even tho the car is quite large. I have had no problems with the car since I purchased it. The focus drives very smoothly and has enough power behind it when needed although I would recommend not going less than 1.6 on the focus due to the weight/power ratio. Inside of the focus is a little plastic looking and somewhat basic but the top end versions have enough gadgets to keep up with most new cars. ...
Advantages: A great car from all angles Disadvantages: Not as many extras included as I would have liked
I am now the proud owner of a ford focus 1.6 zetec and for the first time in many years I have actually found a car that pretty muc suits all my needs.

The boot size is deceiving in that it looks pretty small but is very spacious indeed. Perfect for all those shopping bags as well as a childs pushchair.
The actual drive of this car is superb. Mine runs on unleaded and is very economical. I can get over 200 miles to £35 ...
I think that just about everyone on the planet has heard of the ford focus and knows that it is a cheap and reliable car. So there you go. The new model is very similar to the old but yet is still better built and better to drive. Dont expect it to set any land speed records but then thats not what its made for,but for heavens sake dont buy a 1.6 automatic! It has a top speed of roughly 74mph! The brouchure may say more but i have had first hand experience with this model and is a very sad sight being over taken on the motorway buy a car transporter carrying 6 brand new Hummer H2's (weighing at least 2 tons each!) while we were goin flat out pedal to the floor! But apart from that i would very much recommend this car. However, compaired to some of its rivals it doesn't look such a good deal. One rival being the VW Golf wich is better ...
