The regular pad is 20" wide x 72" long x 2.5" deep and this is my pad. My partner who is taller than me has the long version which is 20" wide x 78" long x 2.5" deep. Big Agnes also makes a ¾ length pad which is useful for ultra light trekkers. My pad weighs 22 oz (624 g) and my partners pad weighs 25 oz (709g) so as you can see the weight is pretty decent. The upgrade kit does increase this by 10 ounces but the upgrade isn’t always necessary. Advantages: Warm, designed specifically with children in mind, extendable Disadvantages: The toggles get in the way!

There is a two-way zip on each side of the bag so that it can be opened out and folded down like a quilt – handy for nappy changing!! Ajungilak do say that the bag can be used in a pram or pushchair. It also has all the bells and whistles that you would expect from a good quality mummy design sleepingbag, baffles, drawstrings, Velcro fasteners, extra filling round the feet and no coldspots. The outer is Micro-Lite Tex, a ripstop nylon especially made for Ajungilak, the filling is Terraloft (a type of hollowfibre) and the inner is polycotton. Altogether it weighs about 1500g and comes in it’s own stuff sac. The Little Viking can be machine washed at 60 degrees with a third of your usual detergent, rinsed 5...

Advantages: Extremely Warm. Considerable Amount Of Down Disadvantages: I Can't Think Of Any
...I have wanted one of these bags ever since I slept in one, the first time I went to a cold part of the United States. A friend of mine let me use his, as I couldn't carry too much with weight restrictions on the flight over to LAX from England. I know you are thinking, why did I need to sleep in a bag that is so thick and warm, when I was in a warm part of the USA. Will I was actually staying 8,000 feet above sea level, in the middle of Winter.
Description From The Web Site:
"Our goal with the Snowy Owl was simple: design the warmest sleepingbag in the world. Maintaining a mammoth 11-1/2 inches of loft at a constant thickness over the entire body, the Snowy Owl fulfills this goal at what is relatively speaking, an extremely light weight sleepingbag. The Snowy Owl was designed with a fully contoured shoulder, hood, and permanent...
