Kenda Nevegal Folding Tyre With DTC & SWS Features: Tall knobs designed to penetrate and hold on loose terrain DTC - Dual Tread Compound: The most advanced combination of rubber compounds for maximum tyre performance, incorporating a high density (60A) rubber down the centre of the tyre and a low density (50A/55A) in the cornering knobs. The rider is rewarded with low rolling resistance for fast acceleration and climbing while gripping the corners like flypaper SWS - Side Wall Shield: This is Kenda\'s latest technological improvement to help prevent side wall cuts or punctures. Kenda Engineer\'s observed that by applying a thin layer of a special protective tape to the side wall of the tyre, it reduced side wall cuts, punctures and tears without adding significant weight or cost to the tyre. Further more, this tape is external and you can see and demonstrate yourself the de?ective charistic of the material. SWS ensures that your race or ride will be more enjoyable knowing that the chances of ripping a sidewall and ruining a tyre are greatly reduced.
Advantages: Grip well in all conditions, durable, roll well Disadvantages: None I can think of
...I live and ride in South Wales. The man made trais around Afan Argoed and Glyncorrwg, plus all the natural stuff in between, is where you'll most likely find me on my bike. It's wet down here in Wales, but thankfully, there's not much clay, so that really sticky mud you get in some parts of the country isn't too much of a problem down here. I'd experimented with many different types of tyre, before stumbling across these. I'd been riding Tioga 1.9's and going to the Panaracer 2.1's was a breath of fresh air. The increased grip, especially on the front, was amazing, and the rear tyre gripped like a mountain goat. Just make sure you put them on the right way around (follow the arrows on the side wall).
As a tyre that can be used all year round, these are hard to beat. They grip well on the rocky bits, dig in on muddy climbs, and cope...

Advantages: Comfortable, confidence building tyre, best in medium to soft terrain, Disadvantages: Roling resistance penalty on hardpack and gravel
...The Cinders so far are my favourite all-purpose trail tyre. I like them better than the Fire XC Pros, they're slower rolling, but inspire more confidence.
I have the cinders in 2.1. And it is a full 2.1 carcass, unlike many manufacturers whose 2.1 carcasses look somewhat skinny. The tyre is best suited to medium to soft terrain, where it excels, hooking up really nicely finding plenty of traction in the soft stuff.
I run them between 35-40 psi, which gives decent comfort, and grip, and reasonable mud shedding ability . In very thick/deep mud, they tend to spin rather than grip, and they don't clear quite as quickly as a mud-specific tyre, but otherwise as long as you keep the tyre pressures down, the gear low and go for it, they'll get you through most muddy sections.
On hardpack and gravel, the high knobs makes...

Advantages: kevlar reinforced belt, reflective sidewalls, design, on or off road suitable Disadvantages: price is quite high but quality, safety and peace in mind costs
...If you have problems with punctures, feel like wheel is to heave or something to use on o off road - this tyres are definitely for you.
I bought them for my bike about 2 years ago. As remember paid about £18 per tyre. They lasted for over one year where cycling about 160 kilometres a week. I was extremely pleased with them. Honestly can not say anything wrong about these tyres. Rolling resistance is very low, so thanks that you should be more about to achieve higher speed. Continental supplied some models with reflective sidewall to increase your safety during nigh. I got this model and have to say that it really works well. As long as you keep your tyres quite clean they will reflect light brilliantly.
The weight of a tyre is:
- 640g folding option
- 690g wired and reflective option
- 670g wired only option
