...In a bid to lose a few pounds after uni (too much alcohol & too many takeaways) I was looking for a good all round exercise machine, and elliptical trainers were recommended by some friends. "Why?" I enquired. "The answer is simple" came the reply, "they are a great cardiovascular work out and the pedals mimic the body's natural movements when running, so essentially you are running, but there is no impact - saving your joints and bones!" "Genius!" I replied. And so my quest to buy a machine began. After looking at a variety of makes and models, I decided upon the York 3100 Elliptical Trainer & Cycle. It looked the sturdiest, could handle the most maximum weight (16 stone - not that I was this large, but obviously the larger the maximum weight, the stronger the machine), was from a brand that I had heard of and trusted... ...astro van high roof conversion van! for a full size luxury family carrying vehicle the astro van has every thing, from gorgeous leather seats to full video and dvd entertainment. dont be put off by the big 4.3l vortec engine its a pure pedigree with fuel economy around the 23 to 28 mpg mark same as a shogun 2.8 but the quality of the ride out ways the economy. from the first moment you sit in the astro the feel of the vehicle suggests quality with all the switches and controls in easy reach of a some what laid back driving position(fully adjustable by electrics) and the power of the vehicle is phenomenal very like the ride you get on a jumbo jet so smooth. transmission changes flow with no noticable jerking this is truly a long distance vehicle and with all wheel drive it has the ability to take on many varied types of terrain... York X302 Diamond Elliptical Trainer Ok so I bought this piece of kit for home use, as I was sick of turning up to the gym and not being able to get onto the kit that I wanted! I will start by saying this is not the cheapest version of these types of machines, but I?ll justify the price too you?..hopefully. I choose York because in my opinion (and I used to sell the stuff!) along with Kettler, they make some of the best and most robust home gym equipment.
