Advantages: Burns fat fast, heart rate monitor Disadvantages: Takes up alot of space
...WHY
******
Due to a serious injury to my Knee playing rugby my physio recommended a crosstrainer to me as it is a low impact exerciser and is a good alternative to running machines. I found this one on Ebay and thought it was reasonably priced at £130 with some good features.
Quality
*********
Build quality is very good, the trainer is heavy due to the large solid tubular frame and if like me you have it upstairs you will need some help in carrying it up the stairs. Once upstairs you can wheel the trainer to your preferred place as it has built in wheels. The fly wheel is encased in a plastic cover, which should prevent little fingers being trapped where they shouldn't be.
The foot stands are large and have tread marks on to prevent slipping. You can choose between the static handles for an easier work out, these also have...

Advantages: Can exercise while watching baby. Disadvantages: Too big.
...I have just managed to get rid of my Crosstrainer. Well, when I say get rid of, I mean sell. Yes I did actually manage to sell it and get some money back on it. OK, so it may have been to my sister who`s other half is into fitness and has a whole room as an indoor gym, but so what! It is out of my house.

Advantages: Comfortable, well made, reasonable price Disadvantages: not a lot of toe protection
...I have starting playing indoor cricket, and have been playing on polished wooden surfaces, where grip has been important, especially when bowling. I found the Adidas Uproar to be very comfortable, although not specifically designed for cricket, although taking one on the foot from an indoor ball still hurts.
For bowling I found grip very good, essential if you want to avoid turning your ankle over when bowling, even though these are a low cut trainer. The bottom of the shoe has a non-marking indoor sole, and good traction. A crosstrainer cut would be a plus, although these shoes were good value and being well made will undoubtedly last for a long time....
