(+) Size, waterproof - quick to erect for size - smaller to carry/load compaired to others. (-) Pole ropes dodgy(?), tricky to shut zip without adjusting pegs, need to tether v. well.
Advantages: Its sooo easy Disadvantages: none that I've found yet
This is the most convenient, quick to erect and roomy tent on the market and is excellent value for money. Now with an opening like that the review better prove it to you. But I am so convinced of my words that this is the first new product I have suggested to ciao and as such thought it only polite to be the first to review it.
The khyam rapidex ridgi dome system is revolutionary, gone are the days of feeding the poles through the canvas before you can put it up, or standing inside a tent holding it still while someone else does the boy scout thing and pulls the canvas over the top. Essentially the main body of the ridgi dome tent is permanantly attached to the canvas and it has quick release joints that just pop into place, once this is done the tent is practically up. The benefit of this is you can have a tent that is ...
Advantages: Brilliant storyline, brilliant bikes, brilliant music.... Disadvantages: Could be a bit more believeable
I'm one of those apparently 'rare' commodities known as a female biker. I adore motorbikes (I actually have a tattoo on my leg of a motorbike), especially fast, sporty bikes, like the ones shown in this film.
Now I guess that makes me a bit one sided - much of the time I watch this film looking purely for the bikes and waiting to hear the gorgeous sounds they make. I apologise for this, and I guess I better say from the start that if your not remotely interested in bikes at all, not even the look of them, and are simply looking for a nice easy storyline, then THIS IS NOT THE FILM FOR YOU!
Ok, so what is the storyline?
Well its about a young boy named Kid, whose father is killed in a freak motorbike accident. His father was a mechanic for 'Smoke', the king of Cali - illegal street racing; and although it is never said we get ...

This is our second Khyam tent as we loved the quick-erect system.
Generally we are pleased with it due to its size (family of four) - if the weather is rainy there is plenty of room. We used it last summer when the floods happened and it was also quite windy. It witheld the rain excellently - it is highly rainproof - another reason why we bought it.
On the negative side we have had the inner cables (ropes) go twice on the main poles. You can fix these fairly easily and Khyam replaced the ropes with no hassle and no expense but I query if there is a weakness here. It can also be quite tricky to set up perfectly to ensure the zip closes on the front door again due to its size - this gets easier with practise.
The only other comment is that when we used it in some quite high winds (floods again!) you need to tether it very well ...
