Advantages: Its sooo easy Disadvantages: none that I've found yet
This is the most convenient, quick to erect and roomy tent on the market and is excellent value for money. Now with an opening like that the review better prove it to you. But I am so convinced of my words that this is the first new product I have suggested to ciao and as such thought it only polite to be the first to review it.
The khyam rapidex ridgidome system is revolutionary, gone are the days of feeding the poles through the canvas before you can put it up, or standing inside a tent holding it still while someone else does the boy scout thing and pulls the canvas over the top. Essentially the main body of the ridgidometent is permanantly attached to the canvas and it has quick release joints that just pop into place, once this is done the tent is practically up. The benefit of this is you can have a tent that is ...
Advantages: Easy to erect, quality tent. Disadvantages: Pricey for some.
If you are looking for a spacious tent that is easy to erect then you need look no further.
Description:
The tourer 400 is a 4 person tent that has a central living space and two bedrooms, one to the right and one to the left. The main section is high enough for us to stand up in and both bedrooms are well sized. Advantages: Lots of space for everyone. Disadvantages: No longer made.
The Khyam Michigan 12 was only made in 2007 so can be hard to come by now. But if you are after a large, well set out tent, and you find one of these then grab it whilst you can.
The tent is an outer pitch first, or all in one. Personally we leave the inners in place which reduces the pitching time.
The tent itself is large and can be difficult and heavy to put up. Saying that I am under 5ft and have limited mobility so if me and hubby can put it up between us then I'm sure others could easily. We have reduced the pitching time to around 30 - 45 minutes now, which is not bad considering. One good thing though, is that although the tent is large it still fits on most pitches so no extra charges.
The tent has 3 inners. All or some can be removed if wanted. The largest is 6 berth. This is used by our 4 children and is just big enough ...
