These bridles are made of first rate waxed German leather in high class manufacturing, with brass fittings. A snaffle bridle with a cross (grackle) noseband (nose part is softly padded), brass fittings and continental reins.
...Wow!! I absolutely love this headcollar!!!! I treated my one horse to this headcollar when I started competing and I wanted him to wear something really nice while travelling.
I bought mine via my local saddlers who had to order it for me. Please be warned they are not cheap headcollars but are well worth the money.
They are made from fine leather, all parts of the headcollar are double stitched, self lined, with noble fittings and gold or silver piping.
They only come in Cob or Full and only come in Black leather but if your looking for a Havana leather headcollar Kieffer do other ranges.
I only use this headcollar when im competing and i dont use it for everyday use as its so expensive!! I keep it in a bridle bag, so it doesnt get damp or dusty! Quite excessive!
The leather is lovely and soft but like any leather product...

Advantages: Easy to change bit. Disadvantages: Not so easy to change reins.
...I am always spending money on my horses, though I am trying to curb that now, they are expensive enough without trying. I have had several different bridles. Essentially they are the same thing, only varying in make, slight style, quality, price. I like the Barnsby - Whitaker training bridle as it has clips on to the bit instead of buckles. I think this sets it apart from others. Not only does it look good, but it is quick to change the bit when necesssary, hence the name, training bridle. I was delighted with this bridle, but it went with a horse that I sold. It was not a decision that I took lightly and he is still at the yard so I see him every day. It did not take the new owner long to buy a new bridle of an expensive make (status symbol). Her choice, but I thought it was a waste and IT was not cheap. Never mind...

Advantages: Can make bridle cleaning easier. Disadvantages: Too much hassle to hang up.
...How much can I write about a four pronged hook? I will have to wait and see. I spotted a new one of these on ebay for 1p. I bid and won it for 1p. The postage was £1.50 though but it was still a bargain because I got it for 1p. How we kid ourselves. The Cottage Craft 4 Prong Tack Hooks are actually £3.50 plus postage on equestrianclearance, so maybe it was a bargain after all.
What is it?

It is designed to make it easier to clean tack, bridles in particular. My friend used to have one and I used to use it, until she left the yard. It hangs from the ceiling and you hang the bridle from it and clean it. if you imagine, it is easier wiping a bridle with a sponge when it is hanging from something. It allows you to apply more pressure and really clean the bridle properly. You can use both hands to wipe...

I have rather long eyelashes anyway but have used normal eyelash curlers for years to get a more wide eyed look and Coup De Theatre mascara to get a fake lash look as I like to make the most of my rather unusual eyes. They are my best feature I have been more
