Flexifoil Super 10
Review of Flexifoil Super 10 by
flystar
Advantages: Durable, great for exercise
Disadvantages: Expensive, boring in weak winds
Well I bought this kite as I wanted to get into power kiting, which is a sport that uses powerful kites for jumping, traction, skidding, and surfing. This kite was on offer at £90 when I purchased it 6 months ago, but these offers have been around recently. They come in a large selection of colours but in offers they usually only have a few colours to choose from. Mine is in fluorescent yellow. The wingspan is about 10 foot, hence the name super ... ...in a fairly strong zipped fabric sleeve, which is about 1/3 of the kite's wingspan. The carbon wingspar is made of 3 rods which are connected using 2 brass connectors. The kite itself is made of chikira ripstop nylon which seems very light for its strength. The spar then needs to be threaded through one of the wingtip through to the other end. This is a very simple task that even children can carry out. The instructions are good at describing the ...

Blew me away
Review of Flexifoil Proteam 8 by
AsL64
Advantages: well made
Disadvantages: can be tricky to fly for beginners
I got my lovely crispy new red Proteam 8 two years ago. It's easy to set up and fly's well in a strong wind. It can be hard for beginners to fly although anyone that has flown a 2-line kite before should pick it up quickly. I was a little disappointed at the power and have thought I might have been better off with a 2.8 Symphony, which might have given me a little more grunt. I have flown a Super 10 and found it a little slow in the air, good pull ... ...but lacks the fight of the Super 10. That's why I got the Proteam 8 best of both worlds. In a good strong wind this kite is lots of fun and really puts up a good fight. In not so strong winds it can be a little dare I say it boring. I believe that you can buy a low wind spar set that will make it fly better in moderate winds. The last I looked I think they cast around £38 so quite costly. On the whole a good fun kite to fly in strong winds and kids ...
