Rubber gloves are not on my list of favourite things to buy, I rarely wear them for anything else other cleaning drains or unblocking sink traps. But saying that I always keep a pair in my cupboard for dealing with those unforeseen emergencies. Getting the right type of rubber gloves can be tricky, some are so flimsy that they tear on their first outing, others can be so thick that you cannot feel your fingers and if you manage to buy the right size first time around then you are a far better woman than I am. The cheap rubber gloves are very hit and miss, they invariably have no lining and will end up damaging the skin on your hands. Review of SuperGlove Household Gloves

The PVC Glove with that velvety feel

Advantages: Great feel, good fit and durability
Disadvantages: none as yet

My experience of this "SuperGlove" all started when one of the ladies I work for bought me a present, could have been a bunch of flowers or a box of chocolates, but no, it was a six pack of PVC gloves! Nevertheless this present has proved to be a blessing. I hate wearing gloves whilst doing housework , but it is a must when your hands are in and out of soapy water, etc. Incidentally I use disposable gloves when I clean the actual toilet area. Yes I know it sounds horrid, but I feel keeping toilets clean is one of the most important parts of my job. Well it's not really a job, I "do" for three lovely elderly people, who can no longer regularly do their housework and garden themselves. Sorry, I digress, lets get back to the gloves. Disadvantages: Not widely available on the high street. Need to come in other sizes.
