The LA Fitness gym in the centre of Birmingham is by no means the largest or even the best equipped but it is certainly one of the most friendly and well kept gyms that I've attended. As you enter the gym you are met with a team of beauticians who do ladies nails. This is just one of the types of therapy that the gym makes available for its customers. You proceed down a flight of stairs to a comfortable reception area which houses the LA Fitness staff as well as the food and drinks cabinets. There's a large studio for the various classes which are held in the gym which covers everything from yoga to all manner of martial arts all taught by very professional and esteemed instructors. If you follow the broad corridor around the gym you will come to the main training arena which has all manner of rowing, running, skiing, stepping and cycling machines in it. This area is covered by a number of wall mounted screens showing music, news and comedy channels from Sky television. There are various water and Lucozade machines scattered around the gym for those that require refreshment. Behind the array of Cardio Vascular machines is an area dedicated to resistance machines to target every major muscle group and beside this is the free weights area which is quite well equipped apart from the fact there is no rack of barbells. There is room for substitution though with the bench press barbell or the EZ curl bar. Towards the rear of the gym there is another studio area dedicated to a class called spin which is basically a class of bikes. This area is not for the faint hearted, in fact if you wish to either take your CV to a higher level or you want to burn some fat quickly then attend an LA Fitness spin class! It's guaranteed to work. There is an open area for those wishing to concentrate on the abdominal muscles and to use the punch bag. The changing rooms are clean and fairly well maintained and there is an option when you join to have fresh towels whenever you attend. The gym here also offers sunbed and spa facilities. The thing I most like about this gym is the diversity of the clients, the friendliness and willingness to help of the staff and the respect with which everyone here treats each other with. Unlike a lot of gyms there is no room for class distinction here, everyone's there just to get fit!

Would you mind if I made a suggestion? There was a lot of information in your opinion but it was quite hard to read. Opinions which are broken up into smaller paragraphs and have a blank line between them are easier on the eye! Sue.

sorry for the Fh but you don't seem to include any prices on membership and classes etc. you are very detailed but writing in such a block without paragraphs can be frustration and leaves no breathing space.
