Hello, I am writing this review because i feel so strongly about my decision that this club should be shut down.I have been a member for around 1 year now and I am paying £40 per month to use. I have had to stay at this gym because my membership was for 1 year.If only i had known - DO NOT sign a 1 year agreement as this wll tie you in. Instead do a short term offer,they have a short term offers on every month which sometimes are as low as £33 per month. If you are considering joining please read this first.
The place has many problems to list a few, showers are dirty with mould on the shower curtains. floors are dirty , tv's broken, spa never working, showers always cold, no towels given.All clocks display differnt times some are 2 hours out. The reception staff have no manners and manager does nothing after i have written to her several times. The staff do not go out of their way to help they just say please fill in this feedback form and we will give it to our manager who is not here at the moment (this being around 4 pm ...so what time does she work?), now this feedback form which I have just taken the time to write probably just gets thrown away in my opinion.I have not had a phone call as yet and I have written 3 times,this online method now being my 4th.Since my first letter there has been no change not even to the clocks which is proof they cant even fix the simplest things.After asking many times for her name which they were not willing to provide. I managed to find out that she is one of many managers to come and go. Sally Smith is currently the club manager of LA Fitness Newbury and if you are reading this review the first thing I would do is to remember her name ,go into the club and ask to speak to her, who you will soon see is futile ,ineffective ,callous and rude which does not say much for this club. Also a little tip.Ask for a free day trial.Just say you are interested in joining but you want to try it first. Then you can see for yourself go and talk to current members (who are stuck into a 1 year membership )who will tell you all about the club themselves
