Led Zeppelin, Box Set Two

Advantages: Great diversity and outstanding music.
Disadvantages: Lacks most of the bands classic material and as such not great as an introduction to Led Zeppelin.

There are many "gems" to be found on Box Set 2 and it's musical diversity is a joy to listen to. On tracks such as "The Lemon Song" and "You Shook Me" the band's blues roots are on display and later, country influences are very much in evidence on "Hot Dog" and "Darlene", whilst tracks such as "Night Flight", "The Rover", "Four Sticks" and "How Many More Times" are rock masterpieces. The brooding precsence of "Carouselambra" is an often an overlooked masterpiece from the Zeppelin cannon. The packaging includes a booklet of rare photos and info. This is the second box set released of the Led Zeppelin back catalogue, having been remastered by Jimmy Page, and as such is basically the material that was omitted from the prior four cd box set. When Baby B was christened we were bought so many gifts it was amazing to see just how thoughtful and generous people were. Mrs B and I spent a good half an hour opening presents whilst baby B watched on making sure she didn't miss a thing!
