the lights but will cruise comfortably at high speeds on the motorway with the engine very realxed. It apparently (not that i've tested it) has a top speed of 146mph which for a family size saloon is pretty good indeed. Now comes the down side... In exchange for that power of the V6 growling away, it will require copious amounts of unleaded. With a large 60 litre tank which with todays prices is about £60 to fill up. This depending on my driving style will get me about 400 miles, or more if i use a feather light touch on the throttle pedal. So not overly fuel economic! The X25XE engine along with most of Vauxhall's are prone to electronic problems. There a large number of sensors under the bonnet. A few of these are quite troublesome. Kettle chips

Advantages: A really crisp potato chip
Disadvantages: none

When I sit and watch television in the evening I like something to munch, the `something` all depends on my mood. There are times when I reach for the biscuit tin, other times when a bar of Cadbury`s will do the trick and times when I feel like something savoury. There aren't many crisps and potato snacks that I don't like, but Kettle Chips have to be one of my favourite snacks. Maybe they remind me of my childhood, my Mum used to peel and slice some potatoes very thinly and then deep fry them, the result was much like a Kettle chip. Kettle chips are produced at a factory in Norwich, interestingly enough by a firm called Kettle Foods! I have always thought of them as an adult snack, let the children enjoy their Monster Munch and their Wotsits and let the adults enjoy the unique taste of the Kettle chips. A pack of any flavour ...

Hope's Fistful of LED's?

Advantages: Very bright light, flexible, durable

How Bright? LED lights have almost universally replaced halogens as the bulb of choice in your typical cycle lights. The very bright light of an LED is very good at ensuring you get seen but the narrow beam wasn't so good at seeing with. For riding off-road a good halogen setup was superior to LED until very recently. The last couple of years have seen light manufacturers incorporate high power LED's into light units. Compared to a standard 2.4 watt halogen in a typical commuter light delivering about 40-50 lumens, a 1 watt LED will produce about 80 lumens, while the latest LED emitters will produce around 250 lumens from a measly 5 watts. Coupled with lighter and more energy dense Li-ion battery packs, 900 lumen light units intended for racing off-road are a feasible although rather expensive option. Another innovation seen ...
