Advantages: Lightweight and good life Disadvantages: Air gets trapped on the ascent
...worth of clothes however I do ensure I have a good supply of anti-perspirent.
In the interests of reducing the weight of the kit I carry I decided to invest in a new lightweight BCD called the Ralf Tech Travelight Tech which is a wing design. For those who are not up on the technicalities of diving to give it its full name BCD stands for Buoyancy Control Device and is the means by which when at the surface a diver stays afloat as the jacket or wing design is attached via a hose to your air cylinder allowing you to add air to it similar to a life jacket and also to dump air out of it when you want to go down underwater. Once underwater air can be added or dumped to control your position in the water and to control both your ascent and descent speed.

Advantages: Compact, lightweight and robust. Disadvantages: None that I have found.
...The Phoenix Fishing System.
What is a Phoenix fishing system, I hear you ask.
Well basically it's a seat box on legs, with a few well apointed extras.
I purchased the Phoenix fishing system, around two years ago, and it's one of the best buys I ever made.
At that time the price I paid was £209 this was for the complete system, which incluled a footrest, pole rest and side bait tray.
Now For My Opinion...
well lets see it holds my 18 stone frame without buckling under the weight.
All the octoplus products fit the round legs that come with the box, and I think this is a plus point.
The Whole system is made from ABS plastics and fibre glass resin, so there is no need to worry about the rotting factor, as this will never happen.
The box that I have is the cannal plus version with which you get two cross drawers...

Advantages: Leak free, looks good Disadvantages: None!

Mares Lirica Tech Black! Not that I'm trying to be difficult - but I thought I'd be accurate!
I was looking for a mask which fitted me well without the need to perform a power inhale just to get it to fit my face: this mask fits the bill perfectly. I actually discovered the Lirica range whilst flicking through the Mares catalogue and thought that it looked like a stylish bit of kit to own... oh like so many divers, don't I base my decisions on the most important aspects! Anyway, having gained an interest in it, I obviously wanted to try it for fit - so, a couple of days later - at the NEC dive show, I tried on a foul looking yellow version and asked the people at the stall if they had the tech black... to which I was replied "sorry mate, they don't make it in black" - hmmm, having...
