If I'd have known when I was watching the t.v advert that it really would work I would have definatly been prepeared to purchase it at the original price.
So what is the LATERAL THIGH TRAINER?
The lateral thigh trainers is what Id say the best and accurate to its descripton peice of exercise equipment I have seen or used in a very long time. In advertisment it is said to burn fat and tone the following parts of your body: Bottom Inner and outer thighs Hips Stomach Oblique (love handle area) Arms Unlike normal steping excercise equipment this is where the Lateral Thght Trainer (LTT) differs from the rest. Not only does it move up and down, it also moves from side to side with give you two workouts in one. You get to tone the bottom half of your body and the muscles etc in the top half and your stomach as all the muscles you use can be worked at from many different angles. Giving you a very nice tone, and strength.
The LTT functions, ease of use and understanding:
Time counter : counts the time of workout. very easy Calorie counter : counts the calories burnt: easy to understand Stride per minute counter : again easy to understand Scan : easy Step counter: counts the steps in overall workout.
I found the LTT very easy to use as it has many featuers, I was able to Adjustable step height and enlarged safety pedal which gave me much better balance and control I found this very helpful when I very first started to use the LTT. The wider dimensions of the LTT I found were very useful for extra stability and safety again, very useful for the first timers
Assembly and Quality
To be totally honest, there really wasnt any assembly needed, There were just two small things that needed doing by myself before I could use it and that was to fix the rubber feet to the underneath ot it for sturdyness, and connect an electronic timer/calorie burner. Which was simply slotting into place. And that was it I was realy to workout. As for the Quality, I personally think it is excellently made. Very strong, very sturdy and very presentable. Although for not that big of a device I did think that there was some weight to it, although nothing major, I just thought for the size of it, it semmed weighty.
My Experience
The LTT is a very compact little device, with literally two wide footrests, and a stabalizing metal bottom. I was very impressed with the size, as I said its very compact so really doesn't take up any room at all,
Behind the back of the footrest is a leaver, this is called the tension Knob, By moving the leaver left or right you will be able set the tension or resistance of the LTT. In other words it will speed it up and slow it down, I found that using the middle setting, that my work out felt very comfortable. I was able to feel my muscles, and joints working, but was still at a resonable pace for me to enjoy it.
Getting used to the LTT was not as hard as I originally thought it would be, Althou im not saying it was easy, I did manage to trip over and step off a fair few times, but eventually I got there. I was used to using a simple steping action machine, but as with this one I had to try and learn the rythmn, When I poushed my foot down on the footrest, my foot didnt just go down, it went out to the side. I can only describle, As I have seen most people say the same, it as a skating moting, like roller skating or ice-skating. I found that when using it for the first time, I could really feel it working on my bottom and the inside of my thighs. AS time moved on and I began to use it more I had no trouble getting onto it again and getting into the swing of things.
Extras included
The LTT comes complete with a video with a complete workout. With excitement when I got it I couldnt wait to use it so I set it uo and took out the video, Called " LTT Powerhouse Workout Video" featuring personal trainer Brenda DyGraf.
The video at first, gave me some instruction and some very interesting tips and precautions to take when using the LTT. It has been divided into two 10 minute sections, The first is the 10 Minute Easy Stride Workout and is simply a stepping workout at a pace that should be aerobic for most people. It's simple, straightforward, I must add, a bit boring. The second part is the 10 Minute Powerstep Workout. This one is tougher, using the machine at a harder level and really does work the thigh and leg muscles. 10 minutes may seem like a little but after that 10 minutes, I was feeling it and kept feeling it for a few days
The Pro's
I found that the best way for me to use the LTT was when I was watching T.V, not the workout video, but normal T.V programmes. Whislt I was working out, I could watch my programmes, which made it very eay for me to not think so much about the aching when I first strated using it. You really do work up a sweat when using the LTT, Because of the larteal movement it creates, it helps reach those muscles that normally dont get used very often. I found it very easy, once used to it, to be able to get into a rythmn, and feel comfortable in the workout I was doing.
Th Con's
To be totaly honest I really didnt find any con's with the LTT, all I can say is that as with any kind of workout your heart has to be in to to do it, so if your hearts not in it you may find it very boring. If you get bored quite easily then maybe the LTT is not the type of workout for you.

As I stated at the beginning of my review I purchased my Pink LTT from the brilliant Ebay. It wasnt second hand I brought it for 19.99 brand new. not including the 6.99 postage. But I still it advertised on t.v, for 89.99 plus postage. Although it can be brought in alot of other places and online for various different prices.

QuicConclusion
I would say this is a handy little device for those with space issues and who don't bore easily. You can get a cardio workout on the LTT and you can use while watch TV or listening to music which for many is a big plus. The lateral motion targets the thighs unlike traditional stepping and you can change up the resistance from a fast cardio workout to a strength training one with ease. And it really really does work

For those of you who have managed to miss the cheesy adverts on Sky for the Laterial Thigh Trainer (LTT) - where have you been?
The LTT is a revolutionary new way to work out - rather than being a traditional stepper where you just step up and down, the LTT swings out to the side as you step (like an ice skating motion) so it supposedly works your inner and outer thighs plus your bum and your obliques (the ... ...If you also splash out and buy the "optional" power cords these can be combined into your workout to work your upper body whilst also working your lower body - sounds great eh?

I’m going to admit to something shameful. It’s a terrible habit, and very addictive, whilst annoying everyone else in the house. It’s hard to admit to, but I think if I just say it out loud, and maybe if people say they do it too, I’ll feel better about it. Here goes.
I enjoy watching shopping channels.
I don’t mean I just watch them when there’s nothing on; I actively watch and enjoy them. There, I said it.
I think my favourite shopping channel ... ...all the technical terms; ‘this one trains your abs’, ‘this one will put you in your cardio fat burning zone’, and so on. So, anyway, one day I was watching Vector Direct, when this strange tree trunk looking blonde woman came on, and started talking about this new exercise gadget.
Every time we turned onto the shopping channels, there she was, stepping up and down on this huge black thing. It looked like a stepper machine, but, as she kept saying, ...

Advantages: Great For Aerobic Work Disadvantages: Misleading Adverts
Being a dedicated and hard working househusband to a wife 5 kid's and 3 cats as well as numerous fish I was looking for a way to work out as it is very hard for me to take time out and go down the gym or out for a run as I used to do on a regular basis whilst I was out working. Sitting at home as any Housewife or Husband can tell you doe's get a little boring after you have cleaned up and sorted the babies out so I find myself occasionally watching ... ...I noticed the Lateral Thigh Trainer on an advert where you were getting the usual stories of I lost 14 stone in a week and I used to look like this but now I am as slim as a supermodel but even though I know this is a load of rubbish I was still very interested so I got onto my usual shopping channel good old EBay lol and found one on there for only £24.99 with loads of extras that the TV shop wanted £99 for so I bought it and in two days the courier ...

Advantages: Easy to use, dont need much space, can work out while watching telly:) Disadvantages: Bit bulky to move and store
Having found myself drifting away from going regularly to the gym and always using the excuse of having no time to go, I was always looking for ways to get fit at home. I'd gone through dozens of fitness videos which was fine when the kids were small and went to bed early but now I'd got to the point that I just wasn't up to starting a workout later on in the evening. And to be honest I got bored and frustrated watching some very slim fit lycra glad ... ...understood what it was like to feel pressured and struggle to find time to workout. No you dont!!! I needed something that I didnt feel encroached on my limited free time. It needed to be something I could do wherever my kids were and whether or not they'd taken over control of the TV. It needed to be something that could be fun. And it needed to be something where I could see and feel some results!

I bought this from the TV a few years ago. The ads were on all the time and there seemed to be a lot of hype. If it is well advertised enough, I think buying products can easily suck you in. It showed people on tv with before and after results. After having a baby I thought I would give it a go!
I bought it for about £89.99 + postage.
It comes with a monitor (which is great because it measures, time, calories burned, heart rate and steps per minute!).
... ...and the higher you switch up the dial, the harder it is to step down, this is the body toning mode). The instructional excersize video.
And a healthy eating manual (which informs you of the best metabolisim boosting foods).
I didn't receive the booklet in my box but that did not fuss me, plus I couldn't be bothered to call - Lazy, I know!
It states on the adverts that it is easy storage, this is true, however, if you need to lift it to slot it ...
