WHAT IT DOES The lateral thigh trainer is a step machine for your home. Its slightly different because instead of stepping up and down. It steps out to the side (like a skiing motion) this is intended to work your abs and obliques. You can opt to get stretchy bands to attach to your lateral thigh trainer so you can work your arms. It has different speed settings so you can do an aerobic workout or a muscle tonning workout on the high setting (settings run 1-10). You recieve a workout video and booklet with the trainer which have lots of handy information on different workouts and troubleshooting any problems. You also get a computer to attach to your lateral thigh trainer to count your steps/calories/time spent on machine and strides per minute.
WHAT I THOUGHT OF IT For what it does the lateral thigh trainer is nice and compact you can tuck it away in a corner without to much trouble. I found it easy to use and watched tele or listened to music will on it. My main problem was getting bored while stepping. I overcame this by either stepping when a good tv show was on or listening to up-tempo music I like. But if the tv show or music wasnt good I would soon loose motivation or interest (as i was stepping up to 45 mins every eve). As for the trainer itself I found the cords a great help myarms and chest are more defined and stronger. But the trainer doesnt work your abs like they say on the tele, i found that my abs and obliques just didnt get a workout from this trainer, but to be fair I have never used it with very high resistance as I was trying to lose weight so I used the fast fat burning setting. In the 2 months i've had the trainer ive lost 20 lbs but i was also on a diet.
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
It's better than before but still not that great. You need to think about what a buyer would need to know if they were thinking of buying one of these. That includes things like: what does it cost? where can I buy it? how does it compare with competitive products? who makes it etc. Your comments on using it are really good but I still wouldn't know how or where to buy one.
