This is my first review!! So here goes with a tentative (pedicured!) toe in the water!

Bought an LTT online from UK Sports Imports for £44.95 including power cords who delivered within 2 days. Bought the dvd separately from ebay for £5. I think it's worth getting the dvd even though the LTT is really simple to set up and use, as it ensures you use it correctly. Also, watch out for "me too" LTT's - the most look-a-likey I've seen advertised is the 'Lateral Thigh Stepper' though I can't comment on its performance.

Without the dvd, I was stepping for 30 minutes a day and my knees felt as though I'd been playing rugby or in a football match against Argentina (strange analogy considering I am female but how do you convey aching knees?!). So thank God when the dvd arrived and I stopped peddling like a mad woman!

I use the LTT every day together with the dvd - I have every grin, hair flick and power breath down to a fine art ): You could easily remember the 2 routines off the dvd but I quite like Ms DyGraf whooping me on; I feel like I could be in an LA fitness studio! There is supposed to be an advanced dvd but I don't know how to get hold of this - can anyone help? And I can't believe the routines are just 10 minutes...or am I doing something wrong?

A few reviewers have mentioned the resistance lever working its way back to zero resistance. I don't know about their individual machines and if they've tried this, then maybe there was a fault. But if you haven't tried this - unscrew the lever (but not completely so that it comes off the machine!), move the lever to the level you wish, then screw it back clockwise so that its tight. I've been creeping the resistance level up bit by bit this way and had no problems.

The only thing that annoys me is the squeaking; I've tried WD40, Vaseline, moving the casing but to no avail - I dread to think what my neighbours must think but thus far, they've been too polite to say anything though I have noticed them giving me a wide berth of late!

Other reviewers have covered the set up and use of this machine very well. So I would just add that after just 2 weeks, you really can feel it working. After a month, trousers and jeans are starting to feel noticeably looser. So it does work but it won't if you leave it in the corner just looking at every night! Come on - it's just 10 minutes! What else could you do with the time?.....
