I bought my lateral thigh trainer 3 months ago, however I didn't buy it from the official website as I thought it was too expensive, instead I bought it off a competitor site for £49.95.
I started off by doing 45 minutes every alternate day (working out to the equivalent the 20 minutes a day that's recommended ). I didn't use the diet provided as I'm hopeless with cooking and being a vegetarian there wasn't much of a choice in the booklet provided, I carried on eating regularly cutting out the crisps and the chocolate and cutting down on the midnight meals and within the first week I lost 3 pounds by doing very little! My only problem was that I got bored of it very easily watching TV but by switching on your ipod it makes it much more bearable and actually fun to do. Following the stretches as instructed I suffered from no aches and pains and the lateral thightrainer was easy enough to use. It had started working on my thighs and my bum yet I saw little improvement on my abs which was quite disappointing. On the whole it was a great product and great value for money as the whole family was getting use from it!!
Problems: It began to squeak after a month or two but a bit of WD-40 soon sorted that out. Also the calorie counter stopped working along with the speed adjustment after 3 months, it still worked however the workout was set on 1 speed fast, which can be adjusted by taking it apart however this will just set it to on speed again but one that is more suited to you obviously as it had only been 3 months I wasn't happy so I received another one on guarantee.
I've received my new one and so far so good! I do recommend it for buyers who will stick to the weekly routine as it does begin to show it's effects, however the problems can get tedious and for the price you can easily find yourself questioning whether it is good value for money. I'll leave that up to you to decide but I think if it can be used for a year or so it is definitely great value for money, especially if you compare the price to what you'd pay for gym membership nowadays, but as you can see from my reviews and others the lateralthigh trainer has far from a life time guarantee!

Hey, helpful review thanks! I'm glad you mentioned that the diet book wasnt too helpful for veggies as this was a sticking point for me on whether to pay more for a machine with ALL the extras or a cheaper one without them. I think I'll just take care of the diet side with common sense, so thanks!

My daughter has just bought a similar product in the sale at boots. I have yet to use it. I take your point with regards to diet booklets as i too am a vegetarian. All diet and slim clubs need to have a diet regime designed especially to vegetarians or we will never make the effort.Susy x
Advantages: Smallish, relatively inexpensive and it works! Disadvantages: On its own it's no use for upper body and not good if you have back problems.
