After I changed jobs I found I couldn't get to the gym as often as I would like, except for evenings, but at that time my local gym resembles a sardine can.
Soooo, on moaning to a friend she gave me her machine to try. I thought it would be less stressful than spending most of the evening in a busy sweat filled tin can. I have since bought one of my own, it came in its own little brief case.
It takes some getting used to though. You need to position the pads in the correst place or you get a very unpleasant shock like feeling.
On managing to find the correct muscles I wanted to work I placed the pads on my body according to the chart which showed you roughly where to put them (felt better if a small amount of body gel was placed on the skin first), the are held in place by adjustable elastic belts, plugged them in and sat down in front of the tv. I gradually managed to turn the controls higher and higher as the muscles adjusted to the strange feelings running through them.
You can actually see the muscles contracting and releasing as they work. I used it for half an hour three times a week, along with infrequent trips to the gym.
If you don't have much time or are just a couch potato who wants to be fit then try this machine. Once used to feeling of the current running through you muscles it is easy to use. You just turn the intensity up or down - you control how much your muscles work.
The only downside as far as I am concerned is people laughing at you as you sit there pulsating. My children think its better than tv to sit and watch my legs lifting up and down - sometimes they will actually lift off the settee if I turn it up high enough.
So my advice is to give this brilliant machine a go but do it when you are alone.
