This is one of the first exercise machines I bought back when I though a six pack was just a few sit ups away. I now know it takes alot more than that, however the 'ab-roller' (or ab-flab as it is known in my house) is still an important part of my exercise plan.
First things first, it's easy to set up, which means you're actually going to get to use it rather than have a jumble of metal and foam in the corner of the room for months to come.
Secondly it's really easy to use, and you can feel it working right from the first time you try it. The beauty of these type of machines is that despite being very simplistic they cater for all levels. By moving your torso or legs you can isolate different muscles and so develope all round strength and definition in your stomach.
The abdotrim wasn't expensive (I think I got mine for about £15 which is only the equivolent of 3 McDonalds) and the convenience of being able to nip on it when ever you have a spare 5 minutes is really useful as opposed to having to psyche yourself up for a gym trip. Mine is set up infront of the tv in the front room so rather than sitting watching the game I can be doing something useful at the same time. The only small gripe I would have it that it can be a little bulky and difficult when it comes to storage, however I've got round this by using it as a footrest when I'm not using it :)
