After many weeks of trying this method my cunning plan did not work so I now need a way of removing weight without hurting my bank balance. After a lot of recommendations we tried the Leisure Abdotrim Tummy execiser from page 56 of the current Argos catalogue for only £17.99.
Putting it together -------------------
This was very easy to put together with only a large headed phillips screwdriver to make sure all the screws are tight(You could get away with an ordinary flat tip). The instructions were good and most of the bits were already pre assembled leaving only the main structures to be put together and then fasten together using knobs which you tighten by hand.
Using it --------
This abdotrim comes with a 2 page execise guide which shows 4 different execises. A problem you come up against is that if you move too quickly, the Abdo trim actully moves on the floor even though the base has foam pads on to prevent slipping, therefore watch out for damaging things around you and from wearing out the carpet if you use it in the same place a lot. It doesnot hurt my back at all when I use it , even if it is for a period of time.
Results -------
As soon as you use it after only ten Sit ups you can feel you muscles pulling and therefore working in your stomach. I can now actually feel muscles that didnot show before after only two weeks use. It does claim that your physical appearance will benefit from regular use with the abdotrim. It says that my stomach will become flatter and firmer and my waist line will improve. I havenot notice any weight loss or my stomach going. But my beer belly doesnot wobble as much.....so its a great result...Im 18 pounds lighter in the bank account and now we cannot use my belly as a bouncey castle for the kids entertainment at the wedding anymore!!!
I do think its very early days after only 2 weeks, but I do feel like its working already. I know do 50 each night compared with the ten I could manage when I started. I feel for the price of this basic execise machine its been well worth it.

I had been playing with the idea of buying an abtrimmer for ages, and was managing by just doing sit-ups. However I soon realised that the sit-ups weren't doing anything for my back and decided to go down to my nearest Sports shop and buy an Abtrimmer.
The Abtrimmer cost me £15, which I thought was a bargain especially if it was going to get me fit and help my back. I assembled it quickly and easily and sat down to watch the video that came with ... ...be a walk in the park but was willing to give it a go.
The video helped me tremendously and demonstrated how to do the different exercises. I started off and it was agonising, every time I sat up it killed me, but I remembered people saying that if you ache after exercise then you know it's doing some good, so I persevered.
I'm now doing 150 a day, which is great and I am now much stronger. I've lost 4 inches off my waist and am still going.

I had a great idea to suddenly trim up the old tum after the birth of my daughter one day, and during a momentary lapse of thinking sensibly thought the look of these abtrim 'thingies' were excellent... piece of cake. From the adverts I had seen on TV (all American, of course) and the pictures in the glossy health mags to me a naive first time mother this looked a doddle, you simply lie on the floor, grab a hold of the bar and rock your way to a ... ...like all things in life you learn the hard way and as the wretched saying goes 'no gain without pain'. Oh please, just make this one easy... a flat tummy again after having a baby it's not too much to ask is it, really?
I happily marched into the shop, paid my £15 or so and when my little one was tucked up in bed that night, set to unwrapping and setting my new toy up.
Just looking at in unwrapped I knew I was doomed from hereon. To assemble this ...

This is one of the first exercise machines I bought back when I though a six pack was just a few sit ups away. I now know it takes alot more than that, however the 'ab-roller' (or ab-flab as it is known in my house) is still an important part of my exercise plan.
First things first, it's easy to set up, which means you're actually going to get to use it rather than have a jumble of metal and foam in the corner of the room for months to come.
Secondly ... ...working right from the first time you try it. The beauty of these type of machines is that despite being very simplistic they cater for all levels. By moving your torso or legs you can isolate different muscles and so develope all round strength and definition in your stomach.
The abdotrim wasn't expensive (I think I got mine for about £15 which is only the equivolent of 3 McDonalds) and the convenience of being able to nip on it when ever you have ...

...came back was the Abdotrim. Leisurewise Abdotrim cost me around £20. It was extremely easy to put together as only a couple of bolts are needed. This process takes 5 minutes maximum.
I loved it when i first bought it because i could feel my abdominals working well and they always felt tight and tired after use. There a number of exercises that can be used on the Abdotrim, focussing on the obliques the upper abs and lower abs. Exercises include; ... ...hip raising. Different muscles can also be used and tensed by changing the position of the arms on the Abdotrim. such as cross-over arms, elbows in, wide grip, narrow grip and many more.
But after a while and as my gym knowledge increased I realised that my previous love of this machine was incorrect. I learned that this machine only isolated those certain muscles where as other options(such as the gym ball) could also do the same but also offered ...
