What is a 'Wii Fit'?
Before explaining what a Wii Fit is, I will explain the equipment you will need for it. The Wii Fit works on a Nintendo Wii - the Wii is a games console, which uses a handheld remote for interactive play (simulating tennis etc). In addition to the games console you will need a Wii Fit balance board. This can be used with other games such as skiing etc but will initially be purchased with the Wii Fit software. On to the second piece of LifeFitness equipment I will be reviewing this week, the LifeFitness Signature Lateral Raise. This is one of my favourite pieces of kit and in my opinion creates the best gurning faces out of all the kit in the gym (lol). Apologise to those that have read my other review regarding the signature series, there is an element of repetition regarding the company details and signature series, but I prefer to keep it in for new consumers as it highlights who they are buying from and also the uniqueness of the signature brand.

The Stillness Test just requires you to stand as still as possible for one minute and when it finishes you can see a trace of just how much you moved about. The Walking Test asks you to walk on the spot so that it can assess how much weight you put on each foot as you move using 20 steps. Other options are balancing on one leg without swaying too much, adjusting your balance between each leg to hit a target on the scale which gets more challenging as the test proceeds and an 'Agility Test' which asks you to hit targets by changing your balance.
