Life Fitness C9i Upright Cycle

Advantages: VFM, Light, good components, nice seating position
Disadvantages: Not a mountain bike

...I already owned an ageing Raleigh racing bike, and I always felt that I would enjoy cycling more if I was not battling against the bike so much. So this year, I bought myself a San Rafael City Bike, by Marin. I am suprised to see that Marin were not already in the ciao headings. I don't know a great deal about bikes, but I know enough to know I like this bike! It has front suspension, and a mountain bike look, but with nice road tyres. It is lovely and light, and has excellent push/pull gear changers - bit like my old grifter! I like the upright seating position. I am using the bike to go to work, and leisure cycling at the weekends. I wont be doing much off roading, but I know I could go off-road if necessary. Not mountain climbing, but honestly - how many people with mountain bikes actually use them for that purpose... Read review

Advantages: great excercise
Disadvantages: uncomfortable seat

...This excersise bike is great for the price, it has a sensor in the hand grip that monitors your pulse wholst you are on the bike, has a screen which is quite big so very clear to see that you can check what your pulse is, how far you have cycled, calories burned and how long you have been on the bike. There is a black dial further down from the handle bars that allows you to change the resistance at the same time as riding the bike so you can make it harder or softer as you need to, it is a very sturdy bike but the seat isnt very comfortable at all which is a real shame as other than this it is a great bike, it doesnt fold away for storage so you will need space to store it when not in use.... Advantages: Vast array of facilities
Disadvantages: Too many kids!

...The club is located in a residential area, easy to reach with plentiful parking if you're in a car, but limited bus services. As for cycling - you'd think a leisure complex would know better! Only a couple of uncovered cycle racks. The club itself is very large and features: A big open plan gym, featuring separate weights and aerobic areas 9 indoor tennis courts (carpeted) 8 badminton courts (also carpeted) 5 outdoor tennis courts 3 squash courts Indoor pool Outdoor pool Separate kids' pool Spa, sauna + steam room beauty salon sportswear shop cafe/bar Sporting Facilities - Having visited plenty of gyms, I can wholeheartedly say they are top notch. The gym equipment is on the whole excellent, though some newer fixed weights would be nice. However, there are ample aerobics stations, including treadmills, lay-back and upright cycles...
