Advantages: Can help relieve boredom. Disadvantages: May not be liked by all horses.
A dechadedron for a horse. I have had one for years and do I use it? Not much. Why would it interest them anyway? The idea is that it is a boredombreaker. You can use it in the stable, or the felid if you wish.
What is a Dechahedron?

A dechahedron is a three dimensional 20 sided figure. This particular one is hollow and has a round hole a few inches wide at the top (or bottom depending on which way up it is), or side.
The horse dechahedron is constructed from a strong plastic and it is heavy enough to roll easily, the flat sides prevent it from rolling too far.
It costs around £15 and is available on line, search for boredombreaker, dechahedron. Tack shops also sell them.
It is available in red, blue, lilac and now pink.
What do you do with it ...
Advantages: Makes a good scratching post Disadvantages: Two likits can be eaten quickly
This is a bordom breaker which fixes to the wall, not one that dangles from the ceiling of the stable.
This is a ball which fits in a bracket screwed to the stable wall, it has 2 slots one either side of the ball to fit 2 little likits. The theory is the pony spins the ball around and licks the likit.
I have found with my Shetland that she can balance the ball so that she can chew the likit and gouge it out with her teath even when i only put one likit in the holder. Two little likits last her one night. Expensive and not good for her teath.
Also she uses it as a scratching post and protrusions in stables are never really a good idea Other more nervous animals could catch head collers or rugs on this and either rip it out the wall or harm themselves.
Wouldnt really recommend i think on hindsight these are gimmicky and more ...
Advantages: looks cool, has lots of featues, great value Disadvantages: none
The Nintendo DS lite seems to have been forgotten recently with the releases of the Sony Ps3, Microsoft's Xbox 360 and the Nintendo wii and it's a shame this bit of kit has become somewhat of a necessity for me. I'm currently a student and the Nintendo DS lite has be my main weapon in my combat against boredom between long periods between lessons and its really effective, now the hours I used to spend sat around with friends bored have become fierce multiplayer DS battles via Nintendo's superb wifi games.
Overall the DS is stylish, attractive and has a great user system revolving around its dual screen and touch screen capabilities. It's a handheld system that can be played with one player just as easily as 4 and its entertainment value is great plus the games that you can by for it come in the most brilliant classic and abstract ...
