Advantages: Can help relieve boredom. Disadvantages: May not be liked by all horses.
...A dechadedron for a horse. I have had one for years and do I use it? Not much. Why would it interest them anyway? The idea is that it is a boredombreaker. You can use it in the stable, or the felid if you wish.
What is a Dechahedron?
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
A dechahedron is a three dimensional 20 sided figure. This particular one is hollow and has a round hole a few inches wide at the top (or bottom depending on which way up it is), or side.
The horse dechahedron is constructed from a strong plastic and it is heavy enough to roll easily, the flat sides prevent it from rolling too far.
It costs around £15 and is available on line, search for boredombreaker, dechahedron. Tack shops also sell them.
It is available in red, blue, lilac and now pink.
What do you do with it...

Advantages: Covers whole horse, except legs. Disadvantages: The very top of neck can get a bit wet when grazing.
...My horses are not in rugs yet and they are still out at night. I hope to keep them out until the end of October or just before. They may need thin rugs a bit before then, I have noticed that some horses have rugs on already in the rain. Mine will be clipped towards the end of October and will need stable rugs for the stable and for in the field I always use rugs with neck covers (unless too hot) and the Shires StormBreaker Combo is a great turnout rug with integral neck cover.

I always like to save...

Advantages: Individual trainng and programmes. Small and friendly gym Disadvantages: None, I love it!
...(scarily reminding me of the position you have to get in for child birth!) Fortunately these two are facing a wall so no one else needs to see you in such an undignified manner!
There are also hamstring and thigh machines, neither of which I have had the pleasure of using yet! Bicep toners and the pec dec. I nearly gave myself a mammogram on that one!
Roll on the day when I can get the 2 pads to touch rather than compromise a certain part of my anatomy! When I do, I’ll let you all know!
Each time I visit I do something different to the last time I was there. To quote from the gyms leaflet,
“Each session is designed individually for you and your goals and is different to the last to combat boredom. Your instructor is there to take you through the whole programme explaining every exercise and setting up each piece...
