Blade was first released in 1998, directed by Stephen Norrington, and starring Wesley Snipes as a half human half vampire, who's mission is to slay all the bad vampires of the world. When I first saw this film I loved it, I was a big fan of the comic books, and watching a big screen adaptation was just well worth the wait. I thought snipes was a brilliant actor to play blade, having seen his early films i.e. passenger 57, and demolition man, this guy is a awesome martial arts expert and can kick ass. If I was to explain Blade to anyone who hasn't seen it, I would describe it as a more violent, intense and action packed Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

The third film in the Blade franchise is called Blade: Trinity, which sees the half-human, half-vampire battling the ultimate vampire, Dracula. David S Goyer is on directing duties on this film, as well as writing the script.
In this film Blade has his hands full when he has to fight the ultimate vampire, Dracula, who is called Drake in this story. The evil vampire, Danica Talos has managed to resurrect the first vampire, Drake, so that he can deal the deadly blow necessary for vampires to kill humanity and rule the world themselves. Blade also has to deal with humans hunting him, when the vampires frame him for the murder of a human. Thankfully for Blade, he receives assistance in his fight against Drake, from a group of vampire hunters, called the Nightstalkers, led by Hannibal King and Abigail Whistler, the daughter of Whistler ...
The story is simple, A young baby boy is born half-man, half-vampire, as a result of his mother being attacked by a vampire whilst pregnant with him. He grows up hating vampires with a passion, And vowing to kill every last one.
Armed with a samurai sword, And a gun which fires silver bullets, He goes on to become the ruthless vampire slayer, Blade. The twist in the story is that he himself is a vampire and the only way he can control his need for blood is by daily injections of a garlic serum.
Our valient hero is mirrored by a wicked villian, Deacon Frost. Played by Stephen Dorff, He is a leader of a gang of vampires who believe that thier kind should rule the world and humans should be merely food. He is crafty and cunning and will stop at nothing.
