Advantages: Very good quality bat, with a very good middle Disadvantages: Slightly heavy
...What a piece of wood, eh? That was my first impression when i saw this Kookaburra Ultimate Belta. This chunk'a wood is sure to scare off all the bowlers and sure to impress your team mates as you walk back into that dressing room, glancing behind you and seeing the score board with your name on it: 100 not out. And you cannot help but smile. The Ultimate tucked safely under your arm, you walk off, quite pleased with yourself. Job done!
On a rather more serious note and going away from such reminisces, the quality of this bat is second to none. It is well worth its price and will leave you with memories that will last you a life time. I would highly recommend this to any cricket player of any ability....

Advantages: Durable, Light, comes pre-knocked in Disadvantages: Weak Toe
...The Kookaburra Ultimate Belta, the name says it all. I've previously owned kookaburra bats, but this is the meatiest and lightest one I have used. It looks nice yes, but the most important thing about this bat is that it feels comfortable to use and performs well. It is the most reliable bat I have taken to the crease with me in my 12 year career, it has lasted me almost 18months for use both indoor and outdoor against red/white cricket balls in matches and red/yellow balls in the bowling machine. ( At speeds varying from 50m.p.h to 95m.p.h) The only down side to this bat is its toe, but all bats have weak toes. If you catch it at the bottom of the bat it will vibrate through quite alot. Overall, a solid - value for money bat....

Advantages: Chunky, Light, A hitters delight Disadvantages: Not for the defensive/classical player, bat-power comes too easily
...to the extra batpower generated actually managed to perfectly pick out the boundary rider and therefore take my walk of shame.
Before I had this bat I was very much a Gray Nicholls or Gunn and Moore man, I liked to stick with the traditional English brands but this really opened my eyes to Kookaburra, who, if you didn't know are an Australian bat maker.
Different bats are for different players of course and I certainly wouldnt advocate this type of bat to a more classical style of batsmen ala Jacques Kallis or Rahul Dravid. Not really a bat for the finesse player or grinder. If you are a budding Yuvraj Singh or Andrew Flintoff then maybe this might be for you! I am just a cheap imitation of a cricket player, but with a good bat, at least I give myself half a chance!
My Ultimate Belta bat is now officially ruined thanks to a ball...
