Advantages: looks good at address, large sweet spot Disadvantages: new larger and more advanced cluds available
...Although surpassed by bigger, and more complex drivers this one can be picked up as a bargain in some places. It does not have any moveable weights or excitments of that sort but it does have a very forgiving nature and launches the ball on a good trajectory. I have the 10.5 degree version and found it much easier to hit than the Callaway driver I had before The club head looks good at address, a classic look compared to some of today's monsters and the sound when you hit it is clean and loud but not a real noise. No doubt there are bigger more advanced clubs out there now but this is a quality, no nonsense product and represents good value for the discount prices now available....

Advantages: Long drive. extra 30-40 yards when hit on sweep spot Disadvantages: Shaft a bit soft.
...I'm 15 handicap golfer. I bought this driver from direct-golf for £29.99 on special offer promotion. This driver is good and giving more extra distance when you hits on sweep spot. I get another 30-40 yards extra when using this driver compared to my Callaway Steel Head III driver. Nice feeling and the head size is not to big. it's coming with nice head cover as well. The only problem with me is, the shaft. Eventhough mine is stiff shaft but don't think it stiff in-half. For people who have a quick swing try get extra-stiff shaft. This product going cheaper now due to Wilson Staff Come out with new model PD6. This PD5 is brilliant for people who want a good driver without spending a lots of money....

...The 975D is the sort of driver that everyone should have as it makes the most impressive sound on impact of any driver I have ever heard. Apart from that though, how does it fair against other Drivers on the market - such as the Callaway ERCII or the Taylor Made 300 series? Actually it does remarkably well. I use the 8 degree Driver and find that the ball flight is very good and am now hitting the ball straighter than I ever had. The distance off the tee is very useful and also the ability to shape shots is good as it can sometimes be hard to do this with a driver but easy with this club. I work in a pro shop so know a lot about this sort of thing - take my word for it this is a great club (bit pricy though!)...
