I have a little torch a Maglite AA. It maybe small but it is good, shines a light on any object I wish to see in the dark. We have one of these torches in the car; we have one we take on holiday. I have had my torch for several years it has been to France, to Spain, up to Scotland and to the Glastonbury festival with me. You can buy this torch for about £15.
This torch is available in many colours some metalic I have a red one. I have had a black one in the past it got lost. These torches are available in grey, silver, purple, dark green, blue and camoflage. So I am sure you would find one to match your outfit :-) This torch has a hole in the tail end so you can attach it too your keying, I attach mine to my rucksack
This torch is light made out of lightweight aluminium it weighs 59 grams . It is small length 145.56 mm, /5 ¾ inch, diameter 18mm. This torch is water and shock resistant. This torch is anodised to protect it from the elements and corrosion. The surface of the torch is rugged giving a good grip. It has a high intensity beam can be spotlight or floods an area with light. This torch will stand on its own as a candle. There is a spare bulb in the cap of the torch, takes 2 AA batteries.
I find this size useful to have with me when I do not want a large torch but need something small and light, it will fit into a pocket or handbag. To turn on this light just twist the end.The beam is quite strong it has prevented me falling over many a tent guy rope at Glastonbury fest. And is a good enough lite to read with in the sleeping bag. This is a very rugged torch still working after many knocks and bangs. It is a useful torch to have in a handy place by the fuse box so we can see to the fuses if we should blow a fuse at night.
As well as my favourite AA Maglite , Maglite make other sizes there is a larger torch and a smaller mini maglite taking 3 AAA batteries and a tiny solitaire single cell torch taking 1 AAA battery the solitaire only weighs 12g I have seen this but felt it was not strong enough a light for my needs the solitaire retails about £12 .
Maglite sell the replacement bulbs about 2.50 each also they sell a few belts straps that you can attach the torch to, one is a headband attach the torch to this and its great for no hands light when you need both hands to work with. This torch is designed and manufactured in the U, S.A
Maglite was designing and manufactured torches in the USA torches first in 1955 .I think they produce a good durable torch very useful for any outdoor activity or for illuminating close work in the dark my dad an electrician used one to see where to connect wires on circuit boards in dark places. In fact they are a good source of illumination anywhere.
This torch comes in a presentation pack including batteries. These torches are available on line or in a lot of sports shops and general hardware or department stores. If I needed to buy a new torch I would certainly choose a Maglite

Advantages: Exceptionally bright beam, easily adjustable beam from flood to spot,very high quality construction,very durable, comprehensive instructions, negligible running costs. Disadvantages: No indication of battery life at all (see review), high initial outlay, VERY difficult to locate in a shop as are the accessories (see review)
