It has been a while since United have brought a blue shirt out now. It has replaced the black one, which I thought was very popular with many United fans. I got mine delivered to me on the day it was released, (2nd August 05) but I didn't expect anything less after how much I had paid for it altogether.
I ordered mine from the official merchandise. I prefer long sleeve, which meant i had to be prepared to dig deeper in my pocket for an extra £5. So i ended up paying £44.99 for the shirt, and the name and number had a fixed price of £10. (Still does) I got my name on the home shirt with number 16 but this time i chose to put v.Nistelrooy 10 on it, hoping he wouldn't just be sidelined for ages like last leason due to injury. But that has not been the case. He is joint top scorer in the premiership with Darren Bent, who will eventually start slipping down the hill.
Also, he has some record in the Champions League, with 35 goals in 39 games, quite sensational really. Back to the shirt, so far i was paying £54.99 for a medium, long sleeve shirt with printing. I then decided i'd like official premiership badges on this shirt, and added on another £5 to the budget so far. So, £59.99 for the new United top, can't wait! But hang on, i need to pay for the postage and packaging yet. What did i choose? Special delivery, worth £6.99. Finally, the money in my pocket stopped draining. I had just paid like £67 for this shirt. Maybe a little more than i expect it, but it is a great shirt, and plus Ruud hasn't let me down this season so i'm happy!
