The home strip is red and most likely will stay red,but the second strip(away) has had a few different colours over the years along with the 3rd strip,black, yellow and green,white,even grey (ugh),and now blue again,one of the last times the away strip was blue it looked like the printer was stuck on repeat pattern!!!.Since the replica shirts have been made by Nike there is a element of style and freshness in the quality and this one is no different.Although purchasing an official united shirt will cost you around £35 if you are a supporter of the mighty reds it is worth parting with your hard earned cash.The problems are the cheap imports which ok you will get for a fraction of the price but the quality of the shirt will not be as good and your money will go straight into the traders back pocket, not to your beloved football club to get the reds back where they belong at the top once again.
MORE ABOUT THE SHIRT. ***************************** Inside the shirt on the neck area is a small nike emblem (a tick),on top of it is the numeral 90 in a circle,I would guess this would be the game of football is 90 minutes (apart from the injury time which seems to get more and more).Underneath the nike emblem it tells you the size of the shirt,in my shirts case XL and height which mine is 1.88,below this in block capital letters is MADE IN MOROCCO.The shirt is v-necked and around the neck and down both shoulders is red trimmed.On the right chest area (if you are wearing it) is a bigger nike emblem in white.On the breast bone is the official Manchester United badge,just beneath this is the Vodafone emblem which is like a circle with a music note inside,with the word vodafone underneath,the 2 o`s in vodafone also have the emblem. Inside the shirt towards the bottom on the left hand side (again if you are wearing it) is a double ticket label with the washing instructions which it recommends you wash on a 40 degrees celsius wash.The front ticket again has MADE IN MOROCCO on it and the address of Nike headquarters which is in the Netherlands.Further down the ticket it recommends to KEEP AWAY FROM FIRE (for obvious reasons unless you hate Manchester United!!!).Right at the back is a small ticket which calls itself The Life Span Label it gives the launch date which is 02/08/2005 and its life span ends May 2007.Around the hip area at the bottom of the shirt is also a touch more of red.
MY THOUGHTS ***************** As the years pass by it is obviously going to be more difficult to keep coming up with different designs which try to catch the eye,I think although its simple it does catch the eye possibly because of the red and the vodafone motif in white.When you look at the price of around £35 it does seem a little expensive but the way I look at it is the money is going to the club.
