Well, being a very big Arsenal fan, its not easy for me to say how amazing Manchester united's shirt is, but it has to be done!
The subjected ( Manchester United Away Shirt for 06/07 from Nike ), has a very basic design which gives it class and a professional appearance.
Starting at the top, the gold rim around the neck brings the whole shirt design to a finish in a classy way. It makes the viewers opinion change as it looks like a different material, but infact, the shirt is 100% polyester. When if first tried the shirt on, i expected the gold rim to itch my neck, but it was very soft and comftable.
This gold plated look is also found at the end of the short sleeves, which once again, bring a well layed out design to a simple but clever finish.
The small but noticable black, nike logo, on the left hand side of the chest, is embroided to show not only the high quality of the shirt, but also the shirt sponser. Nike is a recognised brand which I personally use alot, as all the good are at the highest quality in the market.
The adapted Manchester United badge, which has also been embroided at the highest quality is shown on the right hand side of the chest, has been placed inside a black border. Personally, this makes it stand out to me and shows the importance of the badge and how proud the owners are of being associated with Manchester United.
AIG, who are the new sponsers of this established club, are a recognised Insurance company, who aim to have their name spread by printing the logo at large in the middle of this white shirt.
Having a white background makes everything else on this shirt stand out. This is an important factor in an away match, as not many people will look at the travelling team, but simply focus on the Home side.
Having a thick, black line going from the armpit to the bottom of the shirt simply gives the shirt extra colour and a retro style.
The story of Manchester United begins in 1878 when employees of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company's Carriage and Wagon Works requested permission and sponsorship from their employers to start a football team.
Manchester United were at their lowest in the 1934 under the reign of Scott Duncan. This shirt easily symbolises when Man U were playing at their best, the 1950's and 60's.
The ''Retro Style'' of this shirt evokes those memories and maybe, this success they have this season is due to this? ? ? Who knows!
I only bought this shirt because I collect different shirts from different clubs every season. But im glad i chose Man U as this shirt is comfatble and looks excellent. And to make it the perfect shirt, it had the Nike sphere dry technology ( this helps to make it less obvious when your sweating during sports.
To colclude this review on the Manchester United away shirt of 06/07, I woud like to say im very happy with my purchase and cant wait for next seasons shirt. The Shirt is perfect for sporting needs and has an amazing, thought thtough design bringing back memories of Manchester United struggle to success.
