The new sponsor, AIG is a sign of changing times at old trafford. So what do the big wigs do - put out a 'retro' shirt that supposedly will remind us all of the great times (it is supposedly a replica of the 1950's busby babes team).
The problem is that it doesn't mask the underlying feeling at OT at the moment, especially when they have emblazoned a large american sponsor across the shirt!!!
That said, Nike ahve produce a fantastic new strip for the Red Devils, which looks exceptionally slick.
The brighter red of last season has been replaced with a more pale red, and the usual white trim has been complemented with gold. Can't help but thinking that is the liverpool colours?????
The material (nike sphere dry) is said to be the lightest, most moisture repelling space age fabric yet. They say that every season though, don't they?
A very nice shirt, but just another excuse to fill Mr Glazers bulging pockets.
