Advantages: Very strong, stiff, versatile Disadvantages: Heavy, marmite looks
...This fork is aimed purely at the dirt jump and street market. For this reason they have been constructed primarily with strength in mind. The steerer tube is made from reinforced steel so there are no worries about cracking as on some of the older models of this fork. The stanchions are 32mm diammeter steel ensuring that they can withstand the constand abuse of dirt and street riding. All this steel does come at a price though, and that is the weight of around 7lb, about 2lb heavier than the 2003 version with aluminium steerer and stanchions (although I own both of these versions of the fork, and when in use the extra weight only seems to make a difference on long climbs, not the forks intended use, and therefore the weight is not a problem as far as I am concerned). The damping is Dual SSVF and has an external rebound adjuster, preload...

Advantages: Super strong and light, sealed bearings means it will work forever Disadvantages: 20mm axle means it wont work on all forks
...Another excellent product from the Hope range.
The hub is perfect for all types of riding, its light enough for xc riders and also strong enough for the downhill riders. It runs on sealed cartridge bearings that are easily changeable, instructions can be found on the Hope website. The hub body is made of cnc'd aluminum so its light and still strong. It also has the standard 6-bolt disc mount so its compatible with all brake systems. The 20mm axle means it creates a very stiff wheel and front end of the bike that will take all abuse. It comes in all the standard hope colours so you can easily match it to you colour scheme.
A superb hub well worth the money, it will last forever...

Advantages: Superb looking and repectable brand Disadvantages: slightly uncomfortable ride
...I must admit this bike is by far the best I've ever had even if it isn't perfect. I recently brought this bike for around £500 and although I've never looked back as to be honest I've got a bike from one the the most respected bike brands in the world.
So far I've only used the bike off road once and i must say i was reasonably disappointed. This is because a felt the 4 bar linkage system suspension was rather disappointing. When i ride this bike on the road the suspension is very capable of providing a ver comfortable ride however if like me you like to cycle off road now and then I must say this bike is not made for it.
That however does not mean this is poor diamondback as that is just not possible. It looks absolutely fantastic and for £500 i don't think you will get another bike from a brand with this much respect with Manitou 6...
