return! Finally, I chanced upon Frontier airlines on the Cheaptickets.com website, and they were offering about 260 dollars return! I couldn't believe my luck and was wondering what was the catch? Well, no catch! So, I happily booked the ticket and lived to write an op about Frontier Airline.
A little history about Frontier Airlines. It started in the summer of 1994 and it is marketed as an affordable fare airline with its hub in Denver. That just means that all flights originate in Denver. So, a flight from somewhere to anywhere would require a stopover in Denver. If I had booked a flight from San Francisco to Las Vegas, I would have had to fly to Denver first on both legs. Advantages: Possibly one of the greatest games of all time. Disadvantages: Has to better Elite, and has bugs......
It's worth remembering that this game had to follow one of the most
successful games in the history of the home computer, and do so many years after most of us had ceased to be spellbound by a bunch of 3D routines mimicking a universe. Tricky.... Well, most people would agree that Frontier did not surpass it predecessor in terms of enjoyment and wonder, but nevertheless it is a very good game. Very good, but flawed in some simple ways, which if corrected would have propelled the game to classic status. Mr Braben has been pretty serious in trying to create a living, breathing universe where different ships ply the space lanes, each going about it's own individual tasks. I thought I'd write a Weston-Super-Mare review since my husband and I took our little ones there today for a spot of sandcastle building. As we only live 15 minutes away, down the M5, it's a place I have frequented throughout my life.
My Grandparents live in Worle which is just off the motorway on the way in to Weston, and always took us to the seafront in the Summer, so this is the place I shall start.
THE SEA FRONT
Weston-Super-Mare is in North Somerset (previously Avon).
Weston-sur-la-mer (on-the-sea) became Weston-Super-Mare for obvious reasons... our tangled evolution of language! I suppose it is sort of on-the-sea, but is really on the Severn Estuary. This means that there is a lot of mud washing up and down! We often, jokingly call it Weston-Super-Mud!
