Okay so I'm a big fan of all things sweet and my latest sweet fix comes in the tubs of marks and spencers confectionary. When Mrs B was pregnant she very fortunately had cravings for marks and spencer's food of any description and used to send me off on my merry way to do the weekly shop and allow me to purchase whatever I liked so long as it was from M&S.
It was during one of my many trips around the store that I came across the 2 for £4 deal on tubs of cakes and decided to invest in a few. The flapjacks soon became my firm favourite and now we always have at least one tub in the house- for emergencies!
They are the nicest flapjacks I've ever had as they taste very fresh and buttery. They are worth all the 70 calories per bite!
They have recently been repackaged, they now come in a bright yellow tub with a simple picture ...
presented in a cylindrical, pump action, plastic spray bottle, of approximately 6 inches in height. The labeling is a distinctive green, with white writing. Two silhouetted green mosquitoes either side of a red triangle containing a white mosquito complete the image. The lid is made of clear plastic and the non aerosol nozzle is of plastic too. Instructions for use and warnings about the product are clearly marked on the reverse of the spray. The bottle contains 75ml of clear fluid.
My Warning!!!!
Jungle FormulaInsect Repellent Spray absolutely stinks, there is really no other way to describe it other than the word stink! It is quite potent and reminds me of cheap fly killer or ant powder. Luckily, as the spray dries on your skin the vile aroma fades away!
Sorry for the dire image this review must be painting, what with scabby legs ...
Advantages: tastes lovely Disadvantages: lots of calories, not suitable for certain allergy sufferers, quite expensive
The name Marks and Spencers has always been associated with good quality food in my mind. It is true that their stores have come under quite a lot of criticism in recent years but to me their quality of food has never deteriorated and it is still second to none.
I do not shop at Marks and Spencers regularly but if I get the chance I do like to make a few selective purchases. One such treat that I have discovered is their Iced Sponge Cake.
At £1.39 for a 335g Sponge Cake this could be considered to be on the expensive side. However, this may be a Sponge based treat but do not think that it will taste anything like a Victoria Sponge Cake for a moment, because this treat is in a whole different league.
The Cake is rectangular in shape and comes in three different layers each separated with a generous layer of Raspberry Jam ...
