I was looking for a way to help my aged horse, cope with being barefoot and came across the Supergrip Hoof Boots. In my opinion I found them to be a good send. I remember the first day he wore them. I found them quite easy to put on after try other makes, having to walk along a loose stoney road to get to the field, he usually tip toed and took ages, however with these boots he had a new lease of life and he was bouncing along the road, got into the field and went cantering off to the other horses. Other people at the yard were amazed and said he was a different horse. After getting used to them he used to lift his feet and put them into the Supergrips. They were like air filled slippers. I found them quite robust and simply to use. They were worn in all weathers throughout the year and found in general they tended to stay put. Occasionally he would pull one off in the field but that was just when i started to use them. Even my boyfriend managed to put them on him. I was worried that they would be fiddley and take ages to fit but can honestly say that they took no longer to fit then it would to pick his feet out in the morning. Although they are expensive I found that the money that I save from shoeing soon made them worth every penny
