...I have had a few mountain bikes in the past which I have always enjoyed from cycling cross country through to commuting to even very bad urban ie jumps hops or in my case going very red as I have fallen of again.
At the moment my Marin Rock Ridge is sporting a fine set of MarzocchiMXComp ETA forks and this is a great fork, l would recommend this product to anyone that really enjoys trails. It soaks up every bump that I throw in front of it and after ridding with it a while you kind of even forget that they are there.
Also if the way most roads are at the moment it is nice to go over a pot hole and not get stress fractures up your arms when commuting.
And the look the absolute business reminding me of a set of Ohlins with there gold inner legs
The fork it self has got one of the legs that has a spring which I have had to buy...

Advantages: Top quality kit Disadvantages: Nothing at all
...Being a mountain bike mad man I decided it was time to get a new bike. Shopping around for a bike these days gets complicated with the huge variety of bikes you can buy and for a wide price range.

Anyways, after much decision making I finally went for the Specialised Rockhopper Comp Disc 2007 bike. At £749 this for me is actually not a bad price bearing in mind you can get bikes for £4000 plus. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but its worth it for that little extra upgrade over the model below.
I went for the Rockhopper because I know it has a good all round reputation...

...Specialized Epic Comp 2007.
This bike is owned by my husband, and I recently trialled it as I was upgrading from a Specialized FSR Comp 2006.
From reading reviews about this bike it is marketed as a XC race bike, and could be a bit twitchy on the downhill’s. Also knowing the people that I know that ride them they are all very fast and technically competent riders, so when looking into buying this bike I assumed that it would be too difficult for me to ride and that a stumpjumper would be suited to me.
So on trialling both the stumpjumper and the epic and found that the epic suited me a lot better, I found that it climbed really well due to a more hardtail set up of the bike but I also found that it was really good on the downhill as well.
So if you thinking about getting a new bike I definitely recommend considering an epic...

Contrary to what most reviews of this device have said, I find the design quite appealing and the buttons feel nice to use. It feels well made (unlike some Bush products) and I imagine it could withstand quite a bashing (though I haven't yet tested that... more
