These rugs have a waterproof nylon outer and are lined with natural cotton and have no filling. They have a single adjustable front buckle and fillet string. Ideal for rainy days at shows, keeps both your tack and horse dry in between classes.
Advantages: Fits well. Disadvantages: Neck attachment sold seperately.
...I dont normally use Masta rugs on my horses but after going on the net and looking in catalogues I was really impressed with this rug so I decided to buy one for my one horse who I find it difficult to fit rugs.
The first this that attracted me to this rug was the high shoulder gussets which gives a bit more freedom.
Once the rug was on him was great a real good fit, it wasnt too baggy or right at the front and it was really deep on him which is exactly what I wanted from a heavy weight rug.

Advantages: Lightweight, robust, colour coded poles, reflective guy ropes Disadvantages: It's not true 4-season, small cooking area, lack of headroom
...of your rucksack (it you're not a purist!)
Because it is primarily designed as a lightweight expedition tent, there isn't much room left once there of two of you in it with all your kit - it's not designed for luxury living! The groundsheet raises off the floor in a bowl shape, which is good when there is surface water around after a particulary wet night. However, it isn't good when you spill your hot drink over yourself! At night, if your mate/girlfriend/wife turns over, you kind of have to turn over as well. Getting ready for bed and getting up in the morning is tricky and (at 6'4") I find it a struggle to get over-the-head tops on. The cooking/storage area is small and you need to do quite a bit of kit management to cook safely when its pouring with rain. During hot weather, it is nice to sleep with the fly-sheet removed...

Advantages: Ultra light, roomy , quick to erect Disadvantages: expensive
...to get in, perhaps because it’s raining, you don’t have to bother but we would peg it down as soon as possible.
It is a modified A fame tent. It has a DAC Featherlite NSL pole system. DAC poles are extremely light and strong. It has a 9 mm hub/pole and 10.25 mm ridge pole with press-fit connectors and lightweight hubs. This single hub/pole system makes erecting it quick and easy and the cross pole on the SL 3 increases head room and stability. Plastic clips attach the tent body to the pole frame and this is also quick and simple
The inner tent body is 20D nylon mesh so you get excellent cross ventilation. The floor is a bathtub design; this means the waterproof fabric extends up the sides 6 inches so water can’t leak in. the flooring consists of a 30D nylon rip-stop with a silicone treatment and 1200 mm waterproof polyurethane coating...
