These rugs are channel quilted with a 420 denier nylon outer. They are deep with an extended neck to reduce wither pressure and increase warmth . They are filled with a 6oz/170gm (which is a Light Weight rug) filling and lined with a natural cotton with anti rub satin lining at the chest.
Advantages: Fits well. Disadvantages: Neck attachment sold seperately.
...I dont normally use Mastarugs on my horses but after going on the net and looking in catalogues I was really impressed with this rug so I decided to buy one for my one horse who I find it difficult to fit rugs.
The first this that attracted me to this rug was the high shoulder gussets which gives a bit more freedom.
Once the rug was on him was great a real good fit, it wasnt too baggy or right at the front and it was really deep on him which is exactly what I wanted from a heavy weight rug.

...it as they are in. Whether you hang up a haynet or not is your choice and dependant on the length of journey. I have known a horse recently ingest hay eaten whilst on the move which was quite serious. The vet didn`t advise them eating on the move so I don`t tend to bother for short journeys, but give them some when we reach the destination. The horse may require a travel rug, dependant on the weather (not if it is a hot day). They will need ideally a leather headcollar and a trailer tie to tie them to (again ideally). And lets not forget the travel boots. Before loading the horse, allow them time to get used to the travel boots. The last thing you want to do is load them while they are wondering what on earth is on their legs. It can take a while to get used to them.
Travel Boots.

Advantages: Good quality horse clothing Disadvantages: Have to wash them!
...I keep my horse out as much as possible when the weather permits as she suffers with COPD so I need good quaity rugs to help keep her dry and warm. I have tried various rugs for my horse and most brands have rubbed her shoulders and neck.
Weatherbeeta has to be the best company to make great fitting rugs that don't cost the earth which is handy as my horse has a tendency to trash at least one a year so I don't want to spend a lot of money each time. I bought mine for £75 off an internet site (TDS saddlery).
I also love the fact that Weatherbeeta have started bringing out new colours so I can buy lots of lovely raspberry coloured rugs for my horse. Also they have a wide range of styles and sizes to suit most horses and ponies.
I found that this rug was not very obtainable this year as it was in high demand especially over...
